The cast and crew of The Batman have continued their global press tour this week, arriving in London earlier today after a trip to Paris over the weekend. With fewer restrictions caused by the pandemic, Warner Bros. is clearly pulling out all the stops to build excitement for Matt Reeves' DC Comics adaptation, and this new poster for the movie has certainly left us counting down the days.
Designed by Alon Chou in collaboration with BossLogic, it delivers a suitably brutal portrayal of the Dark Knight as he gets ready to lay waste to Gotham City's criminals. It's a phenomenal piece of imagery, and one we're hopeful will make it into the movie itself for this iteration of Batman.
"It's funny, you kind of have this split personality moment," Robert Pattinson recently told Sky News when asked about the transformation that came with suiting up as the iconic superhero. "You look in the mirror and go, 'Daaaamn'. And then you're like, 'Wait, hold on. That's me!'"
The Batman finds the Caped Crusader in his early years, struggling to balance rage with righteousness as he investigates a disturbing mystery that has terrorized Gotham City.
Joining Robert Pattinson in the star-studded ensemble are Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle; Paul Dano as Edward Nashton; Jeffrey Wright as the GCPD’s James Gordon; John Turturro as Carmine Falcone; Peter Sarsgaard as Gotham D.A. Gil Colson; Barry Keoghan as Officer Stanley Merkel; Jayme Lawson as mayoral candidate Bella Reál; with Andy Serkis as Alfred; and Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot.
The Batman is set to be released in theaters on March 4.
