New BATMAN v SUPERMAN Story Details; Ben Affleck Shares Real Feelings On DAREDEVIL

New details about how long Batman has been fighting crime when Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice kicks off have been revealed ("[He's] at the end of his run and maybe the end of his life."), while Ben Affleck weighs in on just how much he really hated working on Daredevil...

Entertainment Weekly has another piece up about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and this one brings with it some interesting new story details. Ben Affleck describes his Batman as being "at the end of his run and maybe the end of his life. There’s this sort of world-weariness to it," while the site adds that this version of the Caped Crusader has been protecting Gotham City for twenty years now. Wayne Manor meanwhile has been left a "desolate husk, overtaken by weeds and water-stains after years of neglect." Don't mistake him for a helpless old man though, as he'll definitely be giving the Man of Steel a run for his money when they finally come to blows. "I liked the fact that Ben was
 6’ 4” and taller
than Henry," says director Zack Snyder. "I wanted Superman to
have to feel like
he was looking up to Batman despite being so much stronger."

Affleck went on to talk about the responsibility of suiting up as the Dark Knight, a role no one could have ever really imagined him taking on after starring in Daredevil. "Batman is basically the American version of Hamlet. We accept that he’s played by actors with different interpretations." Talking of the Man Without Fear, the Batman v Superman star made it clear that he has nothing nice to say about that particular movie. "Daredevil didn’t work, at all. If I wanted to go viral I would be less polite,. That was before people realized you could make these movies and make them well. There was a cynical sense of ‘Put a red leather outfit on a guy, have him run around, hunt some bad guys, and cash the check.’" What do you guys think? Share your thoughts below.

I would happily sacrifice Ant-Man and Fantastic Four if it meant I could wake up tomorrow and it would be 2016.

Affleck needs to man up. He sucked ass in Daredevil just as he has in all of his roles. He took the part knowing that he sucks. There was no way to make a decent DD movie with that wig wearing hack.

So the rumours back then about Wayne living in a cottage near Wayne Manor were true then. Hope that this "end of his life" state of mind gets jump started by his team up with the future justice league founders, I want to see a Batman with fire in his eyes, that will keep on fighting for the rest of his DCEU appearances.

The hardon for Batman to be superior in everything is just annoying.

My problem with Affleck as Daredevil is the fact that is Matt Murdock looked drunk and sweaty at all time.

I wonder if Ben is aware of the wide general acceptance of Daredevil Director's Cut.

Picturing Batman or Superman being taller than one another is weird. And, [frick], twenty years? Interesting Batman prequels we'll be seeing then.

Why does Batman have to be the top dog in EVERYTHING??? Superman looking up to Batman...idk I'd like them to be on equal footing or at least for Superman to be the leader for once. WB is obsessed with Batman worship. I'm still excited for the film though

It's an interesting take. Batman at the end of his career, Superman at the very beginning. I don't think the comics have ever done that. I imagine this means that Nightwing exists in this DCU?

He did cash that check though didn't he. He has to be real with himself, he wasn't too good as Daredevil. Its not all his fault though obviously. Especially after witnessing Charlie Cox be amazing in the role. They should've asked him if he watched the Netflix seris

Who gives a shit about height? If they want to make Batman slightly taller it's so he can be somewhat imposing in the face of a god. Not everything is because of Batman worship, sometimes it's just thematic common sense.

@PlasmaSnake I understand that and you can display their equality but also showcase the obvious fact that superman is more powerful and has all the right makings of a leader. Each guy should appreciate certain qualities of the other. Batman doesn't have to be the one looked up too all the time. I like the idea of this superman being such a physically massive and imposing character to where he intimidates batman. It'd be interesting to see Batman retaliate not just out of fear for the world but his own fears of not being the top dog anymore. He's not what's most feared anymore. Superman is. It's that loss of power that turns men cruel haha....tweaked alfred's dialogue a bit
