BLACK ADAM: Warner Bros. Reportedly Eyeing Isabela Moner And Leslie Grace For Cyclone Role

The Illuminerdi reports that Warner Bros. has two rising stars in mind for the role of Maxine Hunkel, a.k.a. Cyclone, in Black Adam. The movie may not have a release date, but casting is continuing in earnest following the recent news that Aldis Hodge will play Hawkman and Sarah Shahi is taking on the role of Isis.

According to the site, the project may have found its "Alexandra Shipp-type" in Transformers The Last Knight and Dora and the Lost City of Gold star Isabela Moner or singer-songwriter Leslie Grace (In The Heights).

Either one of them could bring a lot to the role of Cyclone, a character it's believed is essentially filling in for Hawgirl. Dwayne Johnson has previously said that he will eventually tell fans why the character isn't going to be included in the DC Comics adaptation, but no explanation has been offered as of yet.

As well as Cyclone, other big roles which have yet to be officially announced include Doctor Fate and Sabbac (though rumour has it that Aladdin's Marwan Kenzari is in contention for the latter).

With that, Black Adam will essentially have its cast. Recently, Johnson confirmed that shooting will begin in Atlanta this spring, so a 2022 release date does seem likely providing COVID-19 causes no further delays.

We'll keep you guys updated!
