BLACK PANTHER: Take A Close Up Look At Erik Killmonger's Awesome Suit With This Hot Toys Action Figure

Erick Killmonger's awesome suit in Black Panther stole the show and he looked seriously formidable as the new King of Wakanda. Now, Hot Toys has released a first look at their action figure featuring the likeness of the character and it's going to be a must-have for any serious toy collector out there.

Specially crafted based on the appearance of Michael B. Jordan as Erik Killmonger in the film, it features two interchangeable heads which include a newly-sculpted unmasked head sculpt with authentic likeness (to be fully revealed at a later date) and all-new masked head with fangs and highly-detailed textures, newly-developed muscular body, skillfully-tailored Golden Jaguar suit with remarkable tailoring and golden accents, detail recreation of Erik Killmonger’s weapons, and a stand.

It's really cool but Killmonger looks more leopard than jaguar here, a clear nod to his comic book counterpart. Killmonger's suit is sublime.

@Erik10101 - It was pretty clearly CGI all the time though. Wonder why they did it when they did film at least some of it with a real suit

@Whaley87 -
Though a physical suit exists - it was not used for a majority of his scenes in the suit. Boyle360's remarks still apply - especially during scenes where he could have been wearing the suit but they decided to use awkward CGI.

My problems with the final battle and the constant on-and-off-switching of the helmets aside - every single Panther suit in the movie(s) has been pretty damn spectacular! Special mention goes to King T'Chaka's suit from the flashbacks.

@Kyos - the suits themselves looked pretty great but I despise the glowing purple energy absorption effect. It looked bad and it felt to me that it was added in just for a plot device. It just wasn't needed in my opinion.

Remember when everyone was complaining when they saw the suit in the trailer thinking the villain was gonna be a copy of the hero?

@manofillintent1 - Remember when everyone (*cough*DC fans*cough*) was dissing MBJ and Marvel because he said he took inspiration from Ledger's Joker and Fassbender's Magneto, yet he turned out to be arguably the best MCU and the most impactful since the Joker, and the film turned out to be smarter and more relevant that people realised?

@manofillintent1 - to be fair, the could have at least given him a different costume. It makes sense in the movie, but considering he destroyed the heart shaped herbs, it makes sense that he would use his own identity instead of black panther.

@manofillintent1 - well, he actually is. Loved the film but I wish Klaue would have had a larger focus so it wouldn't have been so distracting, to me at least.

All four Black Panther suits in this film were so sexy: Young T'Chaka's, T'Challa's two suits, and Erik's suit. I can't even pick my favourite one.

These suits were inspired by the Man of Steel Superman suit.

More leopard than jaguar? What are you even trying to say? Leopards are found in Africa, jaguars in South America. And if you’re trying to say more leopard than panther, 1) panthers are black leopards, 2) Panthers look exactly like that up close and under strong light. The rosettes are visible on dark brown fur.

@convoyBot - The suit is known as the golden jaguar.

Lol imagine if T'challa had picked that suit. There is no way he would convince the world that he is a superhero.
Kumkani
Kumkani - 2/24/2018, 3:50 AM
@Jeight8 - He would have probably picked that suit up if he didn't change from the man he was when he was trying to kill Bucky. That's what I love about his arc so much through both films and his difference in personality and dynamic between him and Killmonger.

I was so excited for this, but the film was such a let down. The way they handled both villains. The horrible CGI an the just stupid 3rd act. O yeah an the fact that Ryan Coogler is an amazing Directior an the film never really feels like him just kinda copy an past form other marvel flims. It kinda broke me how much i disliked the film:/

@JustAChillDude - Thats what is great about an opinion, you don't have to agree. Idk ita weird i haven't enjoyed a mcu film in years, last one was winter soldier. I was looking forward to Black panther but it just didn't do it for me. I'll say this atleast it wasn't 100% forced comedy an bad jokes.

I think for the most part ALL companies are starting to create some awesome suits for our heroes and villans to wear. Captain America and Flash were the only ones that I kinda went "They could have done better."

I like the combat suit and mask more than the Jaguar suit
InfinitySkrull

I wasn't a huge fan of the Jaguar suit, maybe just because it looked exactly like BP's suit. Just felt like two power rangers fighting each other. I would have recommended they used a different helmet just to give us more differentiation.
