BLACK PANTHER Teaser Trailer Claws In A Massive 89 Million Views In Its First 24 Hours On Release
Since it was released online following its big game debut, the first trailer for Marvel and Ryan Coogler's Black Panther is all fans can talk about, and has racked up almost 90 million views...
The first teaser trailer for Marvel and director Ryan Coogler's Black Panther debuted Friday during the first quarter of Game 4 of the NBA finals on ABC before being released online, and according to THR, our first official look at T'Challa's solo adventure generated a very impressive 89 million views in the first 24 hours.
Though this doesn't top the 136 million views amassed by the first Thor: Ragnarok teaser, it does comfortably surpass the views for teasers for the likes of Captain America: Civil War (61 million), Star Wars: The Force Awakens (55 million), and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (52 million).
Black Panther was also the king of social media, as the teaser got 349,000 mentions in 24 hours on Twitter - which means more people were talking about the teaser than the NBA game on which it debuted.
