"I'm Chadwick Boseman. I'm an artist. People call me an actor. I wouldn't necessarily call myself an actor. I would call myself an artist."
Chadwick Boseman: Portrait of An Artist will take an intimate look back at the life and career of the late Black Panther star, who sadly passed away last year after a private 4-year battle with colon cancer.
The Netflix special pays tribute to the acclaimed artist, who recently picked up a posthumous Best Actor Academy Award nomination for his performance in Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, with the help of some of his friends and collaborators, including Viola Davis, Denzel Washington, Spike Lee, and Danai Gurira.
The documentary will be available to stream on Netflix from Saturday, April 17 for a limited 30-day window. Check out the trailer below, along with a full list of participants.
