Marvel's BLACK PANTHER Cast And Director Talk Representation, The Dora Milaje And Vibranium
Director Ryan Coogler, leading man Chadwick Boseman and his newly-revealed Black Panther co-stars talk about what we can expect from the long-awaited Marvel adaptation, and then some.
Considering filming doesn’t start until the very beginning of next year, Marvel couldn’t reveal much about Black Panther during its Comic-Con panel last night. However, director Ryan Coogler and stars Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong'o, Michael B. Jordan, and the newly-revealed Danai Gurira did discuss representation of a different culture during their interview with Entertainment Weekly. They also touched on T’Challa’s fierce bodyguards, the Dora Milaje, as well as how big of a role Vibranium will play in the Marvel adaptation.
Directed by Ryan Coogler, Marvel’s Black Panther stars Chadwick Boseman (T’Challa), Michael B. Jordan (Erik Killmonger), Danai Gurira (Okoye), and Lupita Nyong’o (Nakia) with more cast members to be announced. And the film will be released on July 6, 2018!
