Black Adam star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson recently confirmed that cameras are set to roll on the DC Comics adventure any day now, and we have word on a last-minute casting addition via THR.

Up-and-coming Canadian-Egyptian actor Bodhi Sabongui has joined the ensemble in a mysterious role. We have no details on his character, but he's believed to be playing someone "key to the Black Adam-DC canon."

Our best guesses would be a younger version of Johnson's Teth Adam, or Isis' son, who is said to factor into the plot.

Sabongui has previously appeared in The CW’s DC's Legends of Tomorrow, ABC’s A Million Little Things, Netflix’s The Babysitters Club, and Netflix feature The Main Event. He joins Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone and Sarah Shahi as Adrianna Tomaz, aka Isis. Marwan Kenzari and James Cusati-Moyer are also on board.

We recently got our first look at some sets being constructed in Georgia, but we'll hopefully get to see more revealing photos once filming is underway. At the very least, we can expect an official behind-the-scenes shot to mark the start of production.

Black Adam is set to hit theaters on July 29, 2022.

Definitely getting Khalid vibes here, especially with them setting up a new generation for the JSA being recruited by Fate and Hawkman.

Who would've thought we would get more live action JSA than Justice League.
