My take on Cap's costume colors

How I feel Captain America's costume colors should look either for The First Avenger or The Avengers.

The lighter colors do look better but the reason they made the blue pale is because it is set in WW2, and if the blue is as light as the shopped version he'd stick out like a sore thumb.

It looks good for a comic book but for movie...I like the movie as is..but nice "comic" look

nice but he is a walking flag, he really is never gonna blend in so it may as well be purple.
