New Details Emerge About CAPTAIN AMERICA 2 Filming Locations
Interesting new details about a cemetery location and a church location for Captain America: The Winter Soldier are now available. Read more about these locations in Cleveland after the jump...
Memorial Day has passed and Marvel Studios continues filming Captain America: The Winter Soldier in Cleveland. Tuesday morning started off grim with rain and wet conditions but the weather cleared up nicely for production.
Just last week a Cleveland location scoop was confirmed at Lakeview Cemetery and more information has been made available about this location. Per an on location source, Lakeview Cemetery has an old dam which is confirmed as the main location in this cemetery for Captain America 2. More specifically, the top and the bottom of one of the sides of the dam are being used, along with a tunnel inside of it and a nearby gravesite.
When the cemetery location scoop was confirmed, it was assumed there was going to be a possible death scene in the sequel. Now that a gravesite location has been confirmed, it appears that either someone is going to die, or Captain America might be visiting the grave of Peggy Carter and/or his old friend Bucky Barnes.
Check out a couple images of the cemetery's dam—an 80,000,000 gallon dam to be exact— below.
Also per a different source who is close to the Greater Cleveland Film Commission, another location in early-to-mid June is said to be at a church. Only a few days ago a church location was confirmed, by The Daily SuperHero, and now the word is it'll be at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church on West 14th St. in Cleveland.
Stay tuned as The Daily SuperHero is your on location source for Captain America 2 in Cleveland.
