That art is beautiful.
Diana looks like a bombshell and Clark? Wow... I never thought I'd have this much of a crush on a drawing but damn.

Anyone else getting a big Megan Fox vibe from Diana in these frames?

Doug Mahnke gets a bad rap, but at his best he's one of the better artists out there.

There's something so oddly refreshing twisting Clark into an under-powered, street level hero. This is honestly the most interest I've had in the character in years. Action Comics #41 and Batman/Superman #21 were superb and such a successful attempt in actually grounding the character. Not in gritty realism but in an zany, sort of archetypal set of ideals. After finally figuring out Convergence was basically a mediocre attempt of passing the torch into this new generation, the first couple weeks into the DC You have reinstated all delight.

Thats one dope woman Superman has, we would all be lucky to have someone like that in our lives!

At least the DCCU costumes are better than this shit.

I read Batman #41 and it was a lot better than I expected. I should've known not to doubt Snyder. Gordon becoming Batman temporarily was organic to the story and the twist on the last page was sweet. They've definitely got something big in the works.

@blackandyellow Snyder can do no wrong and the last page quite literally had my jaw dropped but a tad confused, that was until I figured 'Darkseid War' takes place before Endgame and all the major DCYou innovations. Gordon made a fun appearance in Superman/Batman #21 and a huge fight is teased between the two. Gordon as Batman is just so bracing. You've gotten around to Detective Comics?

Batman Beyond #1 was also a nice surprise. Majorly different for any fans of the show, but good. The ending for that is on par with Batman #41.

The only titles I won't pay much attention to so far is Starfire, New Suicide Squad, Bat-Mite, Red Hood and The Omega Men. I'm giving Bizzarro the benefit since it's only a 6 title run.

I bought it on Comixology but I haven't read it yet. I'll probably sit down tomorrow and check it out.

@Jvegins

There's a pretty large gap there 1956-2015

What about the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, and 00's? They don't count, haha

Don't engage Dexter. He's a cancer to CBM and he'll be IP banned again soon enough.

"Talking to a person you know can't talk back is a bit like punching a guy with his arms tied and declaring yourself the winner of a boxing match then running away, is it not?"

It's the next best thing to that, just not as satisfying or well deserved.
