Batman has returned to Gotham City! In this extra-sized conclusion to Snyder and Capullo’s epic story "Superheavy," Bruce Wayne returns to the cape and cowl to battle Mr. Bloom alongside Jim Gordon for the fate of the city they both love.

BATMAN #50
Written by SCOTT SNYDER
Pencils & Cover by GREG CAPULLO
Release Date: March 23rd

Well, it's about time! As enjoyable as it's been to see an amnesiac Bruce Wayne making a new life for himself while Jim Gordon tries to fill the void left by Batman's disappearance, it will be good to have the real Caped Crusader back. Of course, what kind of state Bruce is in and if this is even the version we all know remains to be seen, but the finale to this epic story should be a must-read!

@Jollem - first two posts I've ever seen you make where you haven't attempted to slag off Marvel in them. Do it more often as you make valid points, until your obsession takes over you.

Superman is back to normal too.

Still no Legion of Superheroes though.

I haven't read this, but I would've preferred they delayed his return for a year or so and develop Bruce more for change. There are so many Batman titles... why the rush to put the cowl back on.

It could have been awesome if they made Bruce and Joke grow to be best friends. Bruce's charity and naivete for believing people are good, and trying to make a difference begin to poke at Joker's inherent distrust of people, the government and society's boundaries. The Joker begins to slip down that path, and Bruce desperately tries to save his friend, and then the Joker's final evolution sends Bruce over the edge. Joker creates the Batman.

Or I always loved how the animated shows always showed the alternate universe Bruces as he was destined to be a victim of tragedy and become the Batman. No matter what he does or even if he knows the future or can travel back in time, Bruce's parents will die and he will be the Batman. It's a neat Batman is fate kind of thing they touch. Even if Bruce loses his way or memory, the universe will find its equilibrium and force Bruce to fulfill his destiny as the Batman...

Excited for this. Snyder/Capullo are Gods among men. Hopefully we see Bruce and Gordon be Batmen.

Gordon as Batman has been great. Hope Snyder ends this better than that shitty Slott Superior Spider-Man ending.

Good! I'm over that ridiculous robot costume and Jim's unexplained youth. Just don't make Joker into Bruce's new sidekick. Please don't.

Wow, thats's actually pretty quick. I didn't expect this to happen so fast.

Meh, either way Capullo and Snyder rock!

50 ISSUES?!?!?!

How did this happen?!? Who's supposed to be watching this stuff?
50 issues?

Give us a reboot #! already!!! We can't be expected to follow all that confusing continuity!

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: This applies to Marvel's granddad-of-it's-flock, Darth Vader as well.
It's shockingly been allowed to reach double digits.

@typicalfanboy

Uh . . . what? Where did THAT happen? Show me the Marvel fanatic that was complaining about "anyone stepping in temporarily into a role to shake the status quo"
There were LOTS of people saying, "Duh, I knew that would happen." But no one complained about the story arc. Yes, one guy said he didn't like the rabbit-of-the-night costume. So?
Stop trying to create a problem.

It's pretty idiotic for someone who frequents ANY type of these comic news sites to complain about spoilers when DC themselves release solicitations months in advance.

Every 25th issue, especially the 50th and 100th numberings, are always milestone issues. Basically, everyone should've seen this coming a mile away.

Also, for everyone making the Spawn/McFarlane comparisons, you guys do know that Greg Capullo was one of the major Spawn artists during Spawn's prime? Most people only remember either McFarlane's or Capullo's art when it comes to Spawn.
