Marvel have released their August 2014 solicitations and in them are two more of Alex Ross' must-have covers. The summer will end with the artist providing his take on Dan Slott and Ramon Perez's Amazing Spider-Man #1.4 and Gerry Duggan and Mark Bagley's Hulk #5!

Ok so Batman and robin comes with the bat nipples and everyone complains.

Then comes Hulk-nipple and suddenly it is ok that the Hulk shows his nipple on this cover but not Batman.

I love old Ross work.
He was a beast in Kingdome come and in Marvels.
Those are real masterpieces. I still like his wrok but I think it is becoming dated.
I prefer Stephan Sejic's work.

But I agree, Ross is the King (a dated one but a King)

I love how since it's a story that takes place early in Parker's career as Spidey, that Aunt May is terrified of Spider-Man.

Yeah, there are some new ones after the throne. Granov is one of my favorites. His work on Extremis was incredible, and The Cabal One-Shot. He also did one of the Captain America tie-ins that was amazing.

It can never be wrong with Hulk because his torso is always naked, thus nipple exposition.
It's a crime for bat nipples to appear because it's in an armoured SUIT.

There is just one cinematic Batman that I really hate and that is Batman and robin, one of the causes is the batsuit with the nipples.

For Hulk I hate the Ang Lee version. And as I am an old fart I just love the Bill bixby / Lou Ferrigno series. Those were good times.
