COMICS: First Lettered Preview For THE UNBEATABLE SQUIRREL GIRL #1

Will read! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that at sometime down the road we'll see her introduced into the MCU in some form. Maybe not as over the top or featuring a tail or anything but maybe as Luke Cage and Jessica Drew's babysitter down the road and maybe spun off into her own series.

She's like Marvel's version of The Mask. Her PIS is almost if not more than Batman's. She is a writers joke. A extension of his or her personality of being a god inside comic land.

I don't really like the way her face is drawn. Aside from that it looks fun.

First thing I think about is Stewie Griffin singing Down syndrome girl to his brother Chris.

Really? She tuck that huge pine tree of a tail into her pants? Even if it somehow did manage to fit, walking around with a 5 feer fur coat stuffed inside your pants a warm summer day... she need a stack of wunderbaums for that tail if she wanna keep any friends that have a working nose.

The art isn't bad. I just dislike that Betty/Veronica style. I think it might work for the tone they're trying to set though.

It's Squirrel Girl bitches! HAHAHAHA!!!! and we all know she can kick Batman and Superman's ass without even moving, it's no wonder there isn't a "Squirrel Girl vs Batman/Superman" because it would only last a second. She also kicked god's ass both hands tied behind her back and blind folded, true story.

Skottie young should be the artist on this book, but this art is still solid.

Anyway, this art is terrible.

I don't recall Doreen's face EVER being that round. Artist needs to do some research before designing pre-existing characters like this. Uggh.

But Squirrel Girl is awesome!

Shailene Woodley IS Squirrel Girl.

I want my Squirrel Girl movie.
Torpedo

I think the art works perfectly for the light-hearted tone the story is setting. This isn't a conventional super-heroine adventure comic like Captain Marvel or Black Widow. This is clearly going to feel more like an Archie book, or an old Patsy Walker romance comic. And I love that the artist made Doreen Green a little "thick" as a previous commenter said. 99.9% of women (and men) in comics have absurdly disproportionate "perfect" bodies. Squirrel Girl's looking out for the other 0.1%. She's the Lena Dunham of Marvel Comics.

Squirrel Girl got a fatty.

I don't like the face, but I do like the thickness they gave her. She's built almost like a real person.
GirlRage

Why did they make her look all down syndrome like? This artist makes her look mentally handicapped. Other artists don't do this. Who is the editor for this series? On the cover Captain Marvel looks mental too.
