Today, Marvel is pleased to present your new look inside AVENGERS: ULTRON FOREVER #1 – the first chapter in a three-part epic Avengers event! Writer Al Ewing (Captain America & The Mighty Avengers) and legendary artist Alan Davis assemble a new team of Avengers for an epic tale that should not be missed!

Venture 500 years into the future of the Marvel Universe. A desolate wasteland devoid of almost all human life. Those remaining alive have been enslaved by the Ultron Singularity, surviving only to serve the will of their twisted robot masters. To save the future, Doctor Doom will pluck seven of Earth’s Mightiest from different periods to battle the machine god Ultron himself. But when the battle for the cosmos begins, will they succeed – or die trying?

Now – the present day Vision and Black Widow, James Rhodes, the Incredible Hulk, two generations of Thor and Danielle Cage, the Captain America of the future must join forces if we are to have any hope for tomorrow! Yet as they travel into the uncertain future, even they will not be prepared for what they find.

In the shadows of a nightmarish future, a new team of Avengers will rise to show the world that heroes can come from anywhere and anytime. It all happens this April when Ewing and David unite for AVENGERS: ULTRON FOREVER #1!

Aren't we still getting use to Sam Wilson as Cap? Don't get me wrong, I'm all for change, but this seems kinda unexpected.

OMG some of the characters in this alternate future are different races...I can't handle it!!!! WTF?!! How is any of this possible?!

I'm sorry.
I don't like change. Even irrelevant minor change is a mere comic book.
I tend to blow minor changes out of proportion and rage unreasonably over nothing.

Forgive me, I think I need better things to focus on in my life.

I'm open to change and have come to expect it, but this, without proper context, is very confusing. Three-toed but five-fingered Hulk? That makes zero sense.

I do love Alan Davis' art, though.

I mean, I guess this is a cool idea, but ehhh....

I don't know, something jsut isn't clicking.

I'm also really good at changing the subject so here, have a link to a person with supposed BvS trailer descriptions. http://youtu.be/Upc1JTqOf-M

They're not using the original Avengers because they don't wanna go into a major arc with the main team. And they're only doing Ultron for the movie. So it's all pointless.

My guess its the Hulk from around the time of Fantastic Four #12. It was a mistake but in it he had less than five fingers and toes and wore the shorys instead of ripped pants. The male Thor looks like the Hela-cursed Thor.

Why can't we have new, original heroes in the future? Retreads of old heroes and you switch a race/gender around? Yawn.

This team mash up is strange! I remember when Jim used to wear that old Iron Man armor, nice to see him in once piece again. He's kinda been like Deathlok lately. Why does Hulk only have three toes? What period of time did Hulk only have three toes? Hulk 2099 had more then three, at least four. That Captain America girl is Luke Cages blood line or? I don't know what to say about this other then.......eeehhhhhh.

Three toes and five fingers, and small? What is going on here?

@TheRealRemyLebeau

Actually, that Thor looks like the one from a time when Hela cursed him with the inability to die and made his body weaker and unable to heal efficiently. He wore that armor, both as protection (and to hold him together) and also to hide the damage, so that people wouldn't freak out when they saw him.

"New and Improved" Marvel comics sucking hard once again. I'm cool with 'Secret Wars' era Rhodey IM, 80's Thor and OG Hulk (but he kinda looks like the Abomination when leaping... and three toes) but the rest suck balls.

For those who have enjoyed Marvel events previously... are no more.

RIP Marvel comics. RIP.

Secret Wars Rhodey, Hela Cursed Thor, Torunn (Thor's daughter from the Next Avengers), Luke Cage's daughter, modern day Vision and Black Widow, and second gen Hulk from when he first turned green (it's the exact same features and build, but I don't know about the toes).

Sheesh, it's getting to the point where even I don't want to see black people in comics these days; some of you are so primed for a ruckus. Don't worry, the classic tried and trues original are JUST around the corner guys. They aren't going anywhere. Marvel is trying out new twists on characters, like in Spider Verse, to see if any of them catch on. If only their writers would visit this site sometime.

The whole black woman Captain America thing kind of makes sense now huh? lol This could be either really terrible, or really awesome. Will have to wait to read it to find out. I'll give it a shot though.

Do people seriously not read the articles? lol its Avengers from diff. time periods all put onto a team. Dr Doom takes them from their respective time periods and brought them to the future to fight Ultron. Thats Rhodes from when he was iron man when tony was too drunk to do it, thats a Captain America from the future, and That Hulk is from like the 70s.
