For the first time Marvel Comics will sell digital comics in the Amazon Kindle Store. They have renewed and expanded their exclusive relationship with ComiXology the digital comic distribution platform.

"Under the new agreement, comiXology will continue to distribute Marvel’s English language sinle issue, trades and graphic novels via the comiXology apps on Fire tablets, iPhone, iPad, Android devices and the web at comixology.com.  ComiXology will also continue to power the Marvel Comics app for iPhone, iPad and Android devices as well as the Marvel Digital Comic Shop. What’s new for fans and readers is that over 12,000 single issue digital comic books will become available for sale on the Amazon Kindle Store on June 18, 2015 and will be available on the Amazon Kindle platform around the world."

The Marvel and comiXology partnership has generated a combined 15 million downloads of Marvel titles. The addition of Amazon should be a profitable venture far into the future.

Awesome! I have a Kindle Fire 6 HD. I first read The Dark Knight Returns on my kindle. Never read it before, makes reading much easier for me.

@dethpillow-The layout is like a comic book or graphic novel. You can magnify the page or expand it. It's a really cool function. It keeps tabs of what page you last read. and interests. I recommend it.

Lol for sure dude. Nothing beats cracking open a new comic. I still have the very first comic I ever read. The Death of Superman. First read it in 95 when I was 10. I still open that bad boy up time and again. Until I got my Kindle I never read a comic digitally before. The wife got me it for Christmas last year. The warranty is awesome and accessories are inexpensive.

Kindle's are meant for reading, so reading a comic, a novel or any book holds up well. The internet works fantastic and the apps are just like the ones you can get on an Ipad or phone. The videos are clear, I use netflix on it all the time. Really can't complain.

@dethpillow I'm kindle fire owner and I have maybe 15 DC Graphic Novels on mine. I use it for when I'm traveling or during downtime in between one of my children's sporting event's. It's convenient when I don't have a WiFi connection. It isn't optimal especially on splash pages as you mention, but its more practical than carting my actual books around. One thing you have with your Ipad that is better though is a App for Marvel Unlimited. Kindle doesn't support that app. So I'm relegated to my phone when viewing Marvel Titles. So this deal is a great for someone like me, and why I choose to share the news.
