I think people are to quick to judge the new stuff in Comics despite the fact some of the best things about comics were once upon a time new ideas. I trust DC and Marvel to deliver as they have time and time again and will definitely be picking this up.

I gotta say...all the new DC comics I've read so far are dope. I'm 100% behind on their new takes of characters.

This character isn't recognizable to me. He doesn't look like Superman. He seems to enjoy fighting. He's angry. Doesn't have the same powers. I understand that characters have to evolve with the times, but they've changed everything. If you're going to drastically change something, at least draw him so he looks like Superman so we can call upon that to identify with the character. It's too far askew, in my mind.

He needs a forehead tattoo.

This depowered Superman is actually interesting and turning out pretty good. Funny, this is how Superman was before they start giving him all these ridiculous powers.

Spider-Man, Batman, Iron Man.....Kent.

Well, it's not 'The Whizzer', so I guess it could be worse...

@dethpillow

Nah, this has nothing to do with that lawsuit and pretty much I remember that the court ruled out their claims in favour to WB in 2012 I guess.

I rather think this arc is to develop Sup even further to wash his boy scout persona general audience has, same they did with MoS.

Why does he look way more buff now that he has no powers? Is he taking 'roids and supplements now?

I'll give this a shot, but without his powers he's just some random guy walking around beating people up.
He's the Punisher without guns and an 'R' rating. Still I'm curious to see where this goes, since he'll have his
powers and suit back by DoJ anyways.

Lol, Superman is not getting a new name Josh. They're calling him Kent because he has no powers and they know his real name. His name IS Kent, Clark Kent.

Pak has written Superman better than anyone in a very long time. #41 Action is great. He's not powerless, but he's depowered to I say 1940's Superman. He can still leap pretty far, still strong and quick. I'd say he's on par with maybe Cap? I was a little skeptical at 1st, but Pak again writes Superman very well.

But before someone says "That's not my Superman" well duh it's not supposed to be, but as a big Superman fan my whole life and watching his changes over the years some good some bad, this is very well written and a good story so far. I have a lot of faith in Pak, and it's like a God being punished and having to deal with everyday human problems and weakness'. Once he get's powered back up which will happen, I think it will add more levels of complexity to a character that casual readers consider boring or to be too vanilla.

He's still Superman, his character is still in tact, he's just dealing with new sensations and a new reality and how he reacts to these have been very interesting. I HIGHLY suggest picking up AC #41

I'm hoping his power level evens out after this. Every time they reboot Superman they start out reasonably but gradually creep up to the point where he can push planets out of orbit. Why write yourself into a corner like that?
