@Minty Arrow has a tie-in comic that usually tells short stories about things that happen between within or before episodes.

Green Arrow comic, although it is incorporating more and more elements from the show- characters and writers- remains separate.

Thea doesn't exist in Green Arrow New 52 so far (although she is loosely based on Mia from pre-52, minus the AIDs.... i hope), Oli does have a sister now but she is half Asian and has chosen her loyalty to the Arrow Clan over Oli.

I hope that helps a bit?

I agree with NerdMan, there is no way Thea pulls this off. She lacks the physicality and the training. Especially since he can go toe to toe with Merlin himself, and Merlin basically admitted he let Thea win. Plus, she's a spoiled annoying character. I prefer Laurel in full whine mode compared to her.

Oliver has training from one of the greatest assasins in the world, and from a member of the league of assasins, and other trainig that spans 5 years. Thea trains 6 months with an ex member of the league that Oliver beat.

BULLSHIT

@Parkerlickpersonified - Yeah it does thanks! I figured the New 52 was separate and all, but was confused as to what stories they could tell with this tie-in. Sounds pretty cool actually, expanding the Arrowverse.

I have been meaning to check out the New 52 Green Arrow stuff. I've heard mixed reviews - apparently it was rubbish then it got good, or the other way round I can't remember? Either way, the only run I read atm is the Snyder/Capullo Batman stuff so I was looking to find another.

@Batmaniac

Not as bad as the early stuff, but big step down from Lemire. Kreisberg and Sokolowksi from Arrow took over, and their first act was to quickly write Naomi, Fyff and Emiko out of the story. They reintroduced Felicity into the new 52 and just introduced Mia Dearden though. It's not all bad. They're also bringing some more humor back, and supposedly a goatee of some kind if coming. Again though, big step down from Lemire's stuff.

@Batmaniac -Cool, yeah sounds about right. I'll probably pick up from #17 then. That's seems to be the popular opinion

They already established she can't take him when he confronted her in the show, she never even hit him. It's just a dream sequence resulting from Oliver knowing she killed sarah

Why can't I get back into this show? For 1.5 seasons I loved it... and now I'm supposed to believe that his 90lb sister is a threat in print and on TV? Yeah.. no.

I like the cast too. CW, you gotsa change somethin.
Chekkarma
Chekkarma - 12/22/2014, 3:20 PM
@xcan Finish watching the show and you would realize Thea is absolutely no match for Oliver, even with training from Merlyn.I'd suggest finishing, really good show.
xcan
xcan - 12/22/2014, 5:30 PM
@Chekkarma I've tried. Now in no way am I saying that this show has attained "SHIELD" levels of suck, but EVERY time I've tried to watch it's someone else in a hood or with an arrow or a hood and an arrow being introduced... it gets kind of boring.

The is GREEN Arrow, and I can deal with Red as well, but come one guys. It's like the producers thought "Hey, we named this show 'Arrow' and that sounds swell. Arrows and hoods for everyone forever!!".

Por ejemplo... I don't know how the Flash made Captain Cold semi-cool (pun not initially intended) but they did. I know the show is dark, but add some colour and variety, please.

PS The chick kicked Oliver off the roof in the image above so it seems to me that they have set her up (or will be soon in TV) as a threat.

@Minty

As to where it all fits in, this is how the Arrow/The Flash chronology plays out:

Arrow - Season 1
Arrow - Special Edition #1 (Comic)
Arrow #1-36 (digital) / #1-12 (print) (Comic)
Arrow - Season 2
Arrow - Season 2.5 #1-?? (digital) / #1-?? (print) (Comic)
The Flash - Pilot/Episode 1
The Flash - Season Zero #1-?? (digital) / #1-?? (print) (Comic)
Arrow - Season 3 (Arrow - Season 3 runs concurrently with The Flash - Season 1, and has already featured several crossover episodes and things that've occurred on one show have been referenced in the other, so if you're asking about a chronological breakdown its best to alternate the Arrow - Season 3 and Flash - Season 1 episodes)
The Flash - Season 1 (Episodes 2-22)
DIrishB
DIrishB - 12/24/2014, 8:01 AM
That's an extremely simple breakdown, though, considering Arrow extensively uses flashbacks to the past, and The Flash has a habit of doing so as well, just nowhere near as much. Most episodes and even many comics feature flashback portions. If you're interested in a far more thorough breakdown of the chronology, check here:

http://thetimelinesite.com/timelines/27-arrow-the-flash-tv-series-timeline

I need to update that, as it's only through the first episodes of the third season. I have completely up to date version on my PC, and now that Arrow and Flash are on mid-winter break I'll get that timeline updated.
