Daredevil has been one of the best titles in comics for a while. This story has just continued that trend. It seems like whomever is writing this book is always on their A game.

I'm with @Sting right here, same thought.

It wouldn't surprise me if they killed him off. Marvel's been killing off a shitload of their characters the past few months.

According to the conversation with Kingpin, it's only Matt who dies off, not Daredevil. Fisk doesn't really want him dead. He just wants to destroy his civilian identity. And Matt's in on this deal.
I'm guessing that Matt fakes his death like Foggy, and then he'll be the Stick who trains the next Daredevil.

I haven't been keeping up with this series lately, but some of the older issues were amazing.

This fits right into my crazy conspiracy theory that Marvel is sidelining all their classic characters and replacing them with new versions whose creators can't sue them.

Didio and Lee debunked that article.

What are your thoughts about the Permutter news? Unless I'm really, completely missing something, I think it is more good news than bad.

Cool, thanks for posting that link. Yeah, we could definitely be getting some really interesting news/gossip in the next few weeks.

I'm not really sure what affect this will have on the comics, but I'm happy that Feige doesn't have to worry about Perlmutter anymore. I think it could influence the MCU a lot, and with any change I get that breeze of worry and doubt, but I really have a lot of trust in Feige.

It'll be cool to hear some more casting and directing news for the upcoming slate and I think this could mean really good things.

And, yeah, so many crazy stories about Perlmutter. I think it's amazing how there are no pictures of him out there, accept that one. I was just reading about how Disney ran out of food at an Avengers media event because of his constraints, crazy stuff, and then there's all the really, truly shitty stories about him too.

@rabid Has there been a lot of suing Marvel lately?

"it's not pure sensationalism, but it's like sensationalism on the bedroom level, sort of. but a special bedroom."

Good example of why I like reading your comments. :)

@DrKinsolving My first and only major concern with the studio news is the greater divide it could create with Marvel Television. If only they could move in with Marvel Studios. Stronger live-action interconnectivity with the greater MCU. And of course, trade in for someone other than Jeph Loeb. Maybe we'd get some decent comic coherent cartoons for once.

@ dethpillow

The whole theory that Marvel is trying to get rid of the X-Men and replace them with the Inhumans is ridiculous.

The X-Men have too big of a following to just throw them away. Also, they have still have multiple titles moving forward.

However, i can completely understand them wanting to help give the Inhumans some spotlight. They are, after all, a big part of the MCU and that isn't changing anytime soon. So it only makes sense to make them more prominent in the comics than they have in the past, just in case people who love the MCU decide to jump into the comics. Then they will have all of their favorite parts from the MCU in print as well.

I think people just try to read too much into things.

Every time I see a "death of" title in comics now.

True, good point. It'll be interesting to see how everything unravels over the next few weeks and what comes of this, it could mean a lot, or it could just be a matter of less stress for Feige. This could also just be the beginning of some of the changes being made

I'm with you though, totally, would love to see the Tv and Big Screen world (especially Netflix) combine. I'm actually hoping that we get a lot of references and easter eggs to the larger MCU in Jessica Jones and the other Netflix shows.

Don't know who the dude is but that costume is on point! Classic DD with a Ninja spin to it. Love how even the symbol evokes classic DD.

Many. I made a list last month, and it was well over 20 creators, but the Kirby case was most recent.
Before their settlement they were seeking a cease and desist judgement. They used the same lawyer as the Siegels/Shusters, who ended up getting 50% of everything Superman, so I expect that the Kirbys won a similar deal.
I don't know for a fact that Marvel is making this decision, but it would go a long way toward explaining how all the Kirby characters got sidelined this fall and how FF got cancelled and how X-Men merch was disabled.
And of course, Kirby was one of the three creators of Daredevil, so there's that.
