He single handedly raped Static Shock as well as Milestone's legacy. As fond as i was of his art on both Nightwing and Batman, this guy should get canned!!! Know your [frick]ing role, [foo foo]!

MrEko- Yeah that blog was a good read. And as kind as Rozum has to be, i really couldn't care less how much of a "nice guy" McDaniel "might" be. He connived with the editor to ditch Rozum, that's just not something a "nice guy" would do. He's an ass. His job wasn't to have an opinion on the writing, it was to draw what the writer told him to draw. Simple as that. He went over his function and completely sabotaged his teammate. Rozum is LOSING work BECAUSE of McDaniel, while McD's still working full time. I will be boycotting ANYTHING McDaniel will ever be involed in. [frick] YOU SCOTT!!!

I have such fond memories of Scott McDaniel's work on Nightwing, its a massive shame that this fell apart

it has been canceled. Did you not read where the writer who also wrote on Xombia was talking about they outcast his idea's and he hasnt really been apart of the storyline so he left because he felt like Static deserved better? They fricked this book over they didnt expect it to sale they just wanted to put it out and see what happened Oh well

i been saying this for day one it will be canceled cause DC dont know how to handle Static the right way. they gave him a god awful costume and gave hin a clone sister, weak villians and the art work imo is poor.

they should of had Keron Grant to design Static Shock he did some good concept art of his version of Static.

I was a huge fan of Milestone and it's concepts when the books first began. Most of the characters were poignant and books actually had a good story baseline. I didn't think Milestone had a chance to stay around as long as it had because it was a separate universe, there were a few too many books and the villains were at times kinda silly. Static had a decent origin and early on, as with all of the books, the writing was edgy with an urban feel. My favorites were Hardware, the Blood Syndicate, Icon and Static. I MUST say that the total Bullshit that was that Saturday morning cartoon had very little to do with the comics true content.

I haven't kept up with the latest Static but I am disappointed that it has failed. It deserves better as did its founders. I always believed Static, Icon and Hardware could be easily be introduced to mainstream DC instead of being kept separate on its own little "Minority Island". Or even Static on Young Justice - just ditch that horrible costume and use some of that fantastic concept art supplied by @Jazzman.

I don't think DC should let this character fall through the cracks - They owe McDuffie at least THAT.
