This is stupid. There was no reason to give her her legs back. Comics can't follow through with any action. everything is rebooted and retconned in time. It makes the time I invested feel pointless.

I just reread The Killing Joke and I have to say...IT PISSES ME OFF!!! He kills Jason Todd, he shoots Barbara strips her clothes and takes photos of her naked, tries to make Jim Gordon insane, Tim ends up a "Joker".....how the HELL hasn't he killed him!?!? He just laughs at the end of Killing Joke?? Just laughs after all that's happened to Batgirl and Jim??
Ok ok. I love Batman. I do. I understand he doesn't kill people to make himself different from the bad guys but COME ON!!
He chooses Joker over his kids plain and simple. Doesn't matter what happens to the people he loves he WANTS Joker to live.
Death in the family shows us again just that.

@venom007 It's an interesting story line. The guardians must be fed up with events of the manhunter slaughtering & the GLC for having their own agendas & haven't gone they way they've for seen. By the GLC eventually stopping this third-army & proving to the guardians that the GLC is a true force for good & let them realize what they first set out to do millenia ago. Either that or you could go the shitty route with the guardians were under mind control. I just hope that Baz is the key that fixes his problems & saves the world from the third army as well. Corny? Yes. Awesome story. Definitely.

This issue is THE SHÏT. Straight up. This is the definite new52 Batgirl story, and Batgirl has been really good. This book is such a great tipping point.

Alright to everyone that keeps asking WHY she's back:

Part of what makes this book so awesome is the internal commentary. Barbara was Oracle. Through intense physical therapy she recovered, so her first two cases she's incredibly weak, rusty and unsure of herself. Then her mom came back into her life and revealed James Jr threatened to kill everyone if she didnt leave, and she believed him. By the end of Barbara's third major case at the end of Batgirl #13, she has regained her confidence as Batgirl and has made up w/ her mom (who visited Jim just prior to DotF) and suddenly this happens and knocks her off her new "high horse".
