DC Comics has granted us an advance look at variant covers exclusive to New York Comic Con. The most interesting thing here is the reveal of Batman's Zero Year costume. You'll notice that it's a modern take of his original suit from Detective Comics #27, complete with purple gloves! I'm just surprised that it came out this way because Snyder and Capullo wanted it to be a big reveal. Personally, I think it looks pretty cool and hope that someone cosplays this soon.

The Batman #24 variant is drawn by Greg Capullo and the Forever Evil #1 and Superman/ Wonder Woman covers are done by David Finch and Stephane Roux respectively.

New York Comic Con takes place October 10-13 at the Jacob Javits Center in New York, NY. To purchase the variant covers head on over the DC Collectibles Boutique at the Graphitti Designs booth (#755), where they will be available while supplies last.

UPDATE: DC Comics has kindly requested that the image of Batman be removed. If you saw it, consider yourself lucky because the reveal on their website was unintentionally made early. When it's again made available in week or so, I will post it for CBM readers.

I think it looks pretty decent, but will probably look better with dark grey and black. I see they went with something inspired by Amazing Fantasy 15.

cool

and could it be Dick Grayson under the cowl again, since hey his nightwing identity is exposed, Batman is 'dead' and you can expect DC to go that route, but kind of hoping they dont

Hey Bats, Skeletor wants his belt buckle back.

Am I the only one pissed off by WW's blue boots?

I know it's not important, but how many other characters have iconic footwear? Spider-Man, Flash maybe. Iron Fist, although not in a good way...
