Pandora was first spotted at the conclusion of Flashpoint, the event which led to the creation of an all-new DC Universe ("The New 52"). From there, the character made an appearance in each of the 52 #1 issues which were launched in September 2011, before her origin story was explored in a Free Comic Book Day special last year. CBR reports that Pandora will be getting her own ongoing series this June from the creative team of writer Ray Fawkes and artist Daniel Sampere. She is expected to play a pivotal role in the upcoming "Trinity War" event, so it seems fair to say that the book will lead into that somehow. Fawkes had this to say about the tone of the series: "Trinity of Sin: Pandora" is an action/horror title. It's about a blistering quest for vengeance, no-holds barred, with blatant disregard for the costs incurred -- until it breaks, like a bloody wave. Then it's about something else entirely, and I'm not going to give that away just yet."

June will see Phantom Stranger renamed as Trinity of Sin: Phantom Stranger, so could a solo title for The Question be far behind? That month also marks the release of a few other new #1 issues, including Keith Giffen, J.M. DeMatteis and Scott Kolins' Larfleeze, Greg Pak and Jae Lee's Batman/Superman, and Scott Snyder and Jim Lee's Man of Steel. Which excites you most?

@mattco44 it's a nod to Pandora's plucky portuguese gay sidekick: Cristiano Ronaldo.

The trinity is an interesting premise I guess. But it's kind of blah. As a major DC fan, DC is getting less and less interesting for me. If you're a batman fan it's a great place (what with 25% of their books being batman related - and yes I'm aware Marvel is Avengers-centered) but I'm not. And even GL is getting a little stale (which is not something I thought I'd say).

i agree with Rob, gimme a Raven ongoing. but that aside, Pandora seems like a cool character so i'll give this a shot. plus it seems to be one of the few books that doesn't have a Bat character in it which is always a plus.

That's not a cover it's a spread from one of Phantom Stranger's previous issues where Pandora interrupts his kids soccer game. Yes, The Phantom Stranger has a wife and kids in the New 52....

An action/horror title? Does that mean zombies are in it?

Only interested becuz of trinity war.

I'm most looking forward to man of steel, Superman is the bomb and with Snyder and lee its gold.

Larfleeze is also cool, that guy cracks me up, he's the gholem of dc. And giffen is pretty funny.

As a huge dc guy I should be more excited about Batman/superman but somehow I'm not.

I own a lot of DC new 52 #1s and I have no memory of this character with the scars and the cloche. I read Flashpoint and am a big DC fan and I have no idea who this person is. IF she was there it probably suggests she was too boring to remember.

Regardless what happens with this character I would be elated if the Question were to FINALLY get his own comic again. It seems DC keeps getting rid of New 52 titles to replace them with crap we don't want. I hope when all the dust settles and there are ultimately allowed to be more than 52 ongoing comics in the DC Universe the GOOD lesser known DC heroes and heroines like The Kreeper, Deadman, Dr.Fate, fire and ice, and of course the Question will finally be allowed to have their own books and their day in the Sun
