Pandora was first spotted at the conclusion of Flashpoint, the event which led to the creation of an all-new DC Universe ("The New 52"). From there, the character made an appearance in each of the 52 #1 issues which were launched in September 2011, before her origin story was explored in a Free Comic Book Day special last year. CBR reports that Pandora will be getting her own ongoing series this June from the creative team of writer Ray Fawkes and artist Daniel Sampere. She is expected to play a pivotal role in the upcoming "Trinity War" event, so it seems fair to say that the book will lead into that somehow. Fawkes had this to say about the tone of the series: "Trinity of Sin: Pandora" is an action/horror title. It's about a blistering quest for vengeance, no-holds barred, with blatant disregard for the costs incurred -- until it breaks, like a bloody wave. Then it's about something else entirely, and I'm not going to give that away just yet."
June will see
Phantom Stranger renamed as
Trinity of Sin: Phantom Stranger, so could a solo title for The Question be far behind? That month also marks the release of a few other new #1 issues, including Keith Giffen, J.M. DeMatteis and Scott Kolins'
Larfleeze, Greg Pak and Jae Lee's
Batman/Superman, and Scott Snyder and Jim Lee's
Man of Steel. Which excites you most?
