With Batman Eternal beginning last week and The New 52: Futures End kicking off on Free Comic Book Day, DC's return to weekly series is about to get bigger. Earth 2: World's End launches this October, following on from Futures End tie-ins in September. Tom Taylor and Paul Levitz, scripters of Earth 2 and World's Finest, will form a creative team with writers Daniel H. Wilson, Marguerite Bennet, and Mike Johnson; Eddy Barrows, Jorge Jimenez, Stephen Segovia, Paulo Siqueira, and Tyler Kirkham make up the rotating artistic team. Award winning author Daniel H. Wilson joins the title as showrunner and says it is a "charmed opportunity to jump straight into the deep end of a gritty, complex DC Comics series." Above is the teaser image for the series by Ben Oliver, featuring the new Batman and Superman, along with Power Girl and Huntress (Earth 2 Supergirl and Robin, who have been trapped on New 52 Earth since the relaunch). Will you be checking out the new series?

Val-Zod, he's a kryptonian who was kept in a bunker by the government for his whole life. He's slowly gaining superpowers after being broke out by Batman and his merry men(and women). It appears he's getting a costume soon, one not too dissimilar from the suit in man of steel...

Earth 2 is actually awesome. One of the better New 52 titles.

Earth 2 is awesome....but anyone with the name "ZOD" should never be allowed to wear the symbol of Hope or go by the name "Superman", I dont care if he's the alternate version of Zod or the son of Zod, no "S"....no Super name.

9 times outta 10, weekly series are crap and not worth investing in long term.

DC has such a hard on for Batman. When the New 52 launched Batman had a lead or supporting role in over 10 different series. Complete overkill.

DC markets the shit out of him.
