Artwork looks like something from the 80's, not that that's a bad thing. I liked the dirtier artwork before, but this is still great.

I dig it.

Seems like one of Van Sciver's influences was '80's Perez and Bolland(two of mine as well). Years ago, I used to live in the same area as George Perez and upon visiting an amazing shop one Thursday, "in the area," ran into him and his family on aisle 3(yes this was a huge store that even played, to the distain of its employees, scores from famous sci-fi and comic book films). I didn't approach him 'cause he was set to sign that Sat. It was around the time he illustrated sharks in a little GL comic, so not sure if he lives in Central FL or.., any rate sorry, getting carried away(sound like Harry). Point being he seemed like a good father and great guy. When I checked out, the individual working the register, who's published for Image(didn't care for his book, but had great knowledge of every medium)reminded me who was in the shop at the moment and suggested I go bother him for a signature. Didn't grab one and left, he probably thought I was crazy.

Does this confirm that Alfred doesn't die in DotF? Because who else could that be at the bat-computer?

TP is like $5 for like 8 rolls, so comics being as ridiculous as they are these days, makes me seem cool for not buying and idle reading. Cue the crowd lettuce toss at myself.

Art looks great and the writing's a lot better than what I'm up to so far. here in the UK there's a magazine called Batman: The Dark Knight that for roughly the same price of a $3.99 comic book and reprints Batman: TDK and Detective Comics and so far it's only up issue 7.
