COMICS: First List Of DC's June REBIRTH Titles Released

In June, DC Comics will be saying goodbye to the New 52/DC You era and hello to the start of Rebirth.  Back in the official press release for Rebirth, DC Entertainment co-publisher Dan DiDio stated, " REBIRTH is designed to bring back the best of DC’s past, embrace the stories we currently love and move the entire epic universe into the future. We are returning to the essence of the DCU. With REBIRTH we are putting the highest priority on the direct market and we will continue to create and cultivate new opportunities for retailers to thrive and prosper, grow readers, fans and customers."

Rebirth kicks off on May 25th, with a massive, 80pg special from DC Entertainment Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns.  Though it has a high page count, DC will keep the book priced at $2.99.  Below, you can see the full list of New 52 titles making their exit in June and the number of Rebirth titles kicking off their run.  Some of the New 52 titles will be continuing on into the Rebirth era, but all titles doing so will receive new creative teams and make the necessary thematic and stylistic changes to align more closely with the Rebirth mandate. DC Comics will be unveiling creative teams and additional details during their WonderCon panel, tomorrow at 9AM PST.

What is this, another reboot?

Are they canceling Cyborg already, I knew it wouldn't last.

@grif - I'm actually really excited for this. I love DCs characters and have read a lot of the pre-new 52 classics years ago but stopped reading comics for a while. I came back right when Marvel launched Marvel NOW! And it was a great jumping on point but I was a little late to the New 52 party. Dabbled a bit, LOVED the trinity war, but with Rebirth I can jump on and be into 15 or 20 titles a month the way I am with Marvel. Stoked.

Those costumes for Batman and Superman seem influenced by the DCEU. Note the cuff detail on Superman's sleeves. His open collar (which I am a fan of) as well the cape and and belt on Batman's costume. I guess now we have semi-confirmation that Capullo's recent redesign won't be making it into Rebirth.

Damian looks good, although those chunky yellow lines on the sides of his lower torso seem unnecessary.

Croc looks good also. Really the only Croc designs I dislike are the ones that portray him with a long snout.

Overall I just wish Jim Lee wasn't the creative lead on redesigns. He' is a great artist, knows DC well, and has had a good run... but I have always felt like his designs are a bit over the top with unnecessary piping, lines, and detail that doesn't translate well when other artists have to draw the characters to match his style.

Overall, I'm cautiously optimistic, but I'm sad they've decided to discontinue Doctor Fate. It's one of the best books they've produced in years.

For all the guys wondering if its a reboot, it's not. It's basically a relaunch in same vein as Marvel NOW.

Where is Martian Manhunter? Also I was wishing Jade Yifei would join the mainline DC Universe. She was the best part of the Ame-Comi DCU. It would have been nice to see to see a Chinese GL, but I guess that wasn't meant to be.

Honest question seeing as for the most part the New 52 has been a failure and DC has been trying to save it anyway possible if these Rebirth titles don't get people excited for DC again, do you think a Crisis like event will be coming soon?
