Curious about this story. Looks kinda lame with the whole Superdoom thing. Probably will be lame like most of the Superman stories coming out.

The art is good...but the new design for Doomsday is straight up crap.

Curly horns and pointed fingernails. His face is almost lizardlike. Its awful.

Feh. Doomsday is just a spiky gray Hulk. What an awful storyline the original Death of Superman was. It made Superman look like a moron for trading blows with a creature of equal strength instead of trying something else, and 'death-by-pummeling' is not a worthy death for such a character.

Read Morrison's 'All Star Superman' - that has a death worthy of the character.

@AlphaAndDecima: I have no doubts that Superman will get demolished by Doomsday when (if?) he faces him on the silver screen. But I don't want the fight to be one-sided for Superman with no chance of retaliation, like in The Dark Knight Rises. I'm hoping that Superman does have a chance to retaliate, with all the strength and might he's got. Once he does, that's when I'll be fine with him getting pummelled and receive one of the greatest beat downs of his life.

Doomsday could be utilized in a Superman story in a much smarter and better than simply it being a super fight that films Superman and that being about as much substance as it has.

Looking forward to this event! DC is just killing it with the artwork in their comics! Marvel lacks consistency in their lineup and some of the artwork is just atrocious. The fact that they want people to pay for some of these comics is just insulting.

Marvel's artwork can't be that atrocious if they outsell DC in most months. For the month of April, Marvel made $14.8M in comic sales. DC made only half of that.

@WhiteBolt he's right tho, DC is doing a better job CONTENT-wise with their comics. People may be buying more Marvel comics, and that most likely has to do with their success in Film/TV. However, there aren't many great stories going on in the Marvel U as compared to the DCU as of right now. Even if the New 52 is a complete cluster[frick] it's better than Marvel Now.

Pretty sure we're gonna get Doomsday in the DCCU. Whatever Cavell says he wants, he gets. Take Cyborg for an example.

There are reasons Marvel outsells DC. Besides, numbers do not always reflect quality.

The Hannibal TV series gets around 2 million views per episode. The Big Bang Theory gets around like what... 15 million? Sure, one's a drama, one's a comedy, but no question that the former is superior.
