Missing something? Yes, you see it correctly; Hal Jordan's ring is no more! Spoilers ahead: At issue #40 of GL, Hal goes all Paralax, beats the hell out of Kilowog, and steals these bad-ass looking lantern gauntlets from Mogo.

What else is missing? ALL THE GREEN LANTERN TITLES! Looks like DC is cancelling every Lantern-related comic so that they can just focus on one... and probably not to confuse any readers which Lantern comic to read.

Though I can't say much for Marvel. Canceling Fraction's Hawkeye and the Daredevil series' was retarded. Spider-Gwen is sadly the best thing out right now.

DC and Marvel need to clean house, badly.

@Jollem

The Infinity Gauntlet can turn each and every one of those rings into Ring Pops.

And the only DC title that I caught up with has been Batman; all the other stuff has been going down the drain of complexity and convergence and whatnot.

Not @Jollem, I meant @Bazinga; comment page glitched.

That gauntlet is Krona's prototype for a way to wield the green energy made millions of years ago. It was introduced in Geoff Johns run

So Hal wears a hood like Green Arrow now?
Kooky.

Actually, Hal is taking the rap for all of the shit that has happened (with the Green Lanterns), so that the GL Corps can continue to function. He beat up Kilowog to keep up appearances (I believe). Unless they've upgraded that gauntlet (and I doubt they would have, considering Krona invented it), it should still be relegated to "power blasts" as its primary offensive weapon. I was worried about this but, considering how they're approaching it (and why), this might be pretty damn good.

Ollie's going to be pissed about the hood. Of course, Hal can always say "I've seen your tv show. I only took the 'hood idea'. You, basically, stole Batman." I'm kidding, of course, but wouldn't that be [frick]ing hysterical if Hal said that?

Back to topic: If I remember correctly, you HAVE to be able to feel emotions to wield the power gauntlet. That's why the Guardians didn't mess with it, beyond using it as a starting point for the GL rings.

Reminds me of Hitman Reborn's main character's weapon.

Whoever came up with these should be fired. Im already looking forward to the next redesign.

New 52 costumes were great for the most part

People keep freaking out over this DC stuff as if it's going to last forever. They're trying new things and experimenting with where their characters can go. There's a plot explanation for each of these costume changes. Within a year or two, everything will revert back to status quo. People complain about monotony, but freak out whenever they see change.
