Love everything about this! Since Lobdell and Rocafort came on the 0 issue it's been wonderful. And the art is completely perfect. My favorite artist in comics right now.

That's the most feminine looking Superman I've ever seen.

Great art but make Clark's quads bigger. It doesnt look right to have such arms and chest without big legs.

And on the subject of Lois and Clark, in this i am a tradionalist. I hope they get into a relationship, and I hope Bruce Wayne and Diana get some action going!

I like the art, but it doesn't really sell 'secret identity' well, I mean Leinil Yu's art from 'Birthright' set the standard 4 me, there both his drawings of Clark and Superman looked the same, but he utilised a physical disguise by hiding his physique n different hairstyles, etc.

Lobdell is working hard to make this title worthy - after Pérez and Jurgens disasters!!!

This looks like a step up. Lobdell's a hit or miss guy, looks like he's found the hit zone in this title.

Wow, Clark doesn't even try to disguise himself in the new 52, does he? I know the glasses were never that much of a cover, but he now wears rimless? Not to mention parading the guns like that! And as other people as mentioned, those tight little trunks or whatever they are have got to be putting the superjunk on display.

this is definately a step up, i was worried that only rocaforts art would be the main piece, but lobdell is cooking on this book! i'm surprised how he's stepped it up in just 2 issues since his arrival, and now i'm feeling waayyy more optimistic about then from before. I am digging this and can't wait for my special treat man of steel title (i'm still tripping over lee and snyder). kudos to dc finally getting this book right.

LOOK it's douchebag Clark!!

@MrEko yeah, they Clark and Diana should end together, but in a Kingdom Come kinda way. Not now. That's too predictable and boring.

As for Lois, not sure a Lois centric story would sell.

Lord, you folks really think this is about artistic measure?

I am all for the original Lois/Superman relationship. However, we will probably not see it again. The Shusters lost their copyright case. The Segiels won thiers and retain certain rights to Superman after Oct 2013. Those right include Lois & Clark relationship. Time/Warner is changing the character in the comics to write-out all right issues. DC has no chance of keeping the old love affair at any level. Its just that simple.

I can't help but think, How the hell is he hiding the fact that he is super ripped in boxers? I Maybe understand the identity thing with baggy clothes and glasses but there's super buff Clark in boxers and the best reporter in the world doesn't even raise a brow. Lmao

Anyway, art I cool and I wish Superboy was cooler

Arts growing on me but I dont see all the praise for Lobdell, last issue was pretty lame for me, not much in the plot or story department, just Clark bitching and a lame fight with that dragon, meh for me.

"It’s their worst nightmare: A creature of unknown Kryptonian origin, more powerful than Superman, smarter than Supergirl and more lethal than Superboy."

So Superboy's a stone-cold killer now. And finding someone "more lethal" than him is such heavy shit that it scares three Kryptonians into wetting themselves.

[frick]! YOU! SCOTT! LOBDELL!!!

@JYCowboy actually I'm pretty sure the Lois character is owned by DC. The Shuster/Siegel claims are only to the original creation of Superman, not the things that were added or changed during the years. Certain abilities, aspects of his life, and I believe Lois Lane were actually property of DC since they were created throughout the publication, not before it was shopped to them.

Of course I don't think anything will change. The fact that the Shusters lost, only gives more leverage against the Siegel's in the ongoing legal battle. Eventually a deal will be made. That is until, like in the past, they renig and want more money again.

Oh and as much as I love the Superman/Lois relationship, I'd like to see where the Wonderman combo goes. From a purely sexual standpoint it'd probably be hard to go back to humans after gettin some of that Wonder-ass.

Look no further than DKR2. Frank Miller gives an interesting show of thier relationship and the end result, Lara.

As to the Lois character, true that they can depict her in thier books but by the terms of the copyright they can't depict the love/like triangle of Clark/Lois/Superman once the time period passes. What DC is depicting now is everything they can get away with before Oct 2013 to establish then shift story more hardline to violation-free material. The changes you see now are preperation for that time. Think about it; kill Lois off and watch the book sales.
