COMICS: Jason Todd's "Resurrection" To Be Explained In RED HOOD & THE OUTLAWS #0

Many New 52 fans have been wondering how exactly Jason Todd came back from the dead after The Joker had his way with him. This week's #0 issue of RHATO will apparently explain all, and you can check out a preview past the jump..

Many years ago in the Batman: A Death In The Family comic arc, Batman's second Robin, Jason Todd, met a grisly end (beaten half to death with a crowbar, before being blown to smithereens) at the hands of The Joker. He was of course brought back as The Red Hood is DC's old continuity, but we haven't had a revamped origin tale for him in the pages of The New 52, until now. Red Hood And The Outlaws #0 will take Todd back to his Robin days, and will be a must read for any fans of the character..

Red Hood And The Outlaws #0 goes on sale tomorrow.

GOOD! That Infinite Crisis tie-in HAD to go. I think the Red Hood movie did a MUCH better job explaining his return.

Lame. The art is crap. I liked the original boosting of the hub caps and I liked it even more when teh Joker beat him to near death with a crowbar and we THE FANS voted to let him die.

Why oh why do they keep bringing the worst Robin ever back?

I'll probably give this a try. I sawr the animated movie & my daughter actually loved it, too. So, I'll try a few books & see if it grabs my attention.

Also, DC really loves their domino masks, don't they?

I just hated how they made Starfire into a complete uncaring slut in this series. The first issue she says to Roy "hey you seem interested in me wanna [frick]" I know she has always worn more sexual outfits but she was never like this. They even go so far as she doesn't even remember any of her teammates Robin, Cyobrg, Beast Boy, Raven nope not a one she doesn't give two shits about them anymore. I don't know I only read issue one hated it never picked up another issue did they change her or maybe there is something wrong with her. If not then DC really [frick]ed over a great character from one of their greatest teams.

This is the second different Robin costume they have showed for Jason Todd in this series, and both of them look way better than any other Robin costume to come before. How come Todd gets body armor and Damian, the newest Robin, still rocks the tights?

@Pesmerga Have you read any of the past couple of issues? They have been giving Starfire some character development.

Damn... now I HAVE to get this issue. I swear, these zero issues are a HELL of a lot more interesting than some of the main storylines going though the books. For instance, I haven't bought a single issue of G.L. Corps since the start of the New 52, but the zero issue featured a new, streamlined origin for Guy Gardner, so I had to get it (and it was a damn good issue, too).

Let's hope they can come up with a better excuse for Jason's ressurection this time, though. Superboy-Prime punched a wall, and Jason just came back to life? Bullshit! I don't have much faith in Scott Lobdell, but I'm PRAYING he can do better than that...

Oh, and I've gotta say: the new, rebooted Robinh costume is PHENOMENAL! Seriously, that's one thing the New 52 managed to knock out of the park completely.

Goodbye, pixie booties. We hardly knew ye.

I thought that we already had an explanation for Jason Todd's return. And a damned good one at that. Also, am I seeing it right that they're getting rid of Todd stealing the rims off the Batmobile when he first crossed paths with Batman? That was one of the most likable parts of his origin. How many people would have the cojones to try to strip the Batmobile? And now he's just trying to steal drugs? EPIC FAIL.

If DC wanted to create their version of the ultimate universe, why didn't they just do that, rather than ruining their mainstream one? I wouldn't mind this if it was an ultimate-like parallel universe. I just hate seeing great stories cast aside for revisionist drivel.

This issue almost seems like a delusion w/ the omission of the rims portion. I just bought this and Nightwing #0, and for what is set up in the backup story, Death of the Family is going to be insane. I want to talk about the ending of this book but I don't want to spoiler the ending.

Can't wait for this issue, Death In The Family was a great book, and Under the Hood was awesome too (actually preferred the movie), usually I hate characters being resurrected, but Red Hood is awesome.

I usually don't like resurrecting characters unless there is a really clever and interesting explanation for what really happened. Winter Soldier and Red Hood are two of the best in this regard that I've ever seen. The Red Hood movie was beyond excellent.
