How exactly did Oliver get trapped on the island in the show Arrow? Either way, I've always had a hard time getting invested in Green Arrow.

On arrow Ollie made it to the island after the boat he was on sunk.

sunk by Merlin's device. Oliver then drifted to the island on a raft.

Anyway, Lemire's run has been terrific so far, can't wait for this.

I love Lemire's run. I'm glad it's taking bits and pieces from Arrow. Great show. Great comic.

@MJPETTY7
Actually, Silver Age continuity for Green Arrow established that before becoming Green Arrow, Oliver fell off his ship in a drunken stupor. He had to live and survive on an island with little food or water by developing trick arrows.

@JackJNapier I know that. That's the way his origin has always been from even before Arrow (Silver Age, Year One, and Smallville all say this), I get that. I'm talking about aspects of the show and Oliver's role in present day that are creeping into the comics. Like John Diggle for instance!

I would love to be buying this comic, since I love lemire's work... but i cant get past the HORRIBLE artwork.

I think the digital tracing crap is a slap in the face to real comic book artists

Looks interesting, but is this comic trying to mirror the show?
