It's a mini series, 1 of 6 like it says on the cover. The artwork is beautiful, I'll be picking it up I like the Huntress. There are some way worse "regular series" comics out there, Huntress would be a way better comic then some of them. Hopefully she does get her own series out of this.

What Huntress is this?....if this is Helena Wayne, ill pick it up. I always loved the idea of Selina and Wayne having a child. If its not Helena Wayne, ill pass.

Helena and Damian would be half-brother and half-sister to each other.

I love Huntress, I would see a cameo of her in TDKR or else an appearance of Helena Bertinelli played by Serinda Swan

The following statement from the Synoposis proves this is the Helena Bertinelli version of Huntress. It says, "The jaw-dropping events will be revealed as the Huntress heads home to Italy". Besides, the Helena Wayne version was wiped out of continuity during Crisis on Infinite Earths. She hasn't really done much, since.

@Comicbookmoron: Huntress came around 17 years before Hawkeye did.

I love the Huntress, Helena Bertinelli is an awesome character. People that critize her probably never picked up one of her books. One of the best characters in the Bat-universe.

golden123: You mean the pre-Crisis Helena Wayne, the Huntress of Earth 2, daughter of Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle came before Hawkeye who appeared in the 1960s? Both have the same color scheme and mask, use arrows. Please elaborate.

Helena Bertinelli WAS a great character when she was actually killing villains and not just another do-gooder superhero following the rule book. Glad to see they put her back in a sensible costume unlike the fanboy-stupidity Jim Lee had her wearing from Hush onward. But this whole 52 reboot-and-screw-continuity shite is not grabbing a single penny from my hard earned cash.

@comicbookmoron: I think he's referring to the female Hawkeye from the Young Avengers books.

I think the new 52 is a great series. Bat Girl was awesome and so was Superman, can't wait to read this one.

Helena Wayne only existed during the Comic Bronze Age. She was created as a Bat-companion for Power Girl in the same spirit as Supergirl and Batgirl by Joe Staton. Her origin is in "DC Super-Stars" #17 in 1976. This is well after Hawkeyes introduction. She was never a counter to Hawkeye in abilites; thats Green Arrow. Her first inspiration is a marriage of Batman with then Catwoman's colors. Huntress, Helena Wayne, died in 1985 during the "Crisis of Infinite Earths" with the Earth 2, Golden Age Robin.

The Comic Modern Age Huntress is Helena Bertinelli. She is the orphaned daughter of a Mafia Mob Boss. She ran to Italy in fear of her life at the death of her paraents. She then trained to seek vengence for thier deaths when she was old enough. With a few Eeeww-Wow changes from the DCnU, this is the character they will go with.

However, it looks like Selina may be trying to make that little girl anyway. (See last panel of Catwoman #1[2011]) :p

Been one my stack list since last month. Can't wait. Nice to see an amica representing in a CB that's NOT a part of organized crime. *sniff sniff* We Italians are so stereotyped.

Hope they make her a merciless bad ass, or else shes just a Batgirl rip off, but if she's used as she should be it should be good.
