if Beowulf was fighting Thor and/or the Avengers, it would at least thematically fit with the Marvel approach and the Norse mythology that Thor comes from.

DC hasn't really done right by any of its magically/mythologically based characters (Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Shazam, etc.), so a character like Beowulf is sort of incongruous with the rest of the DC universe.

The Beowulf Back-up in Sword Of Sorcery was actually the only good part about that book.
doesn't mean i'm gonna buy this though. might torrent the digital though. we'll see.

Wasnt Beowulf rumored to be a time displaced version of Deathtroke...there was theory article on this site a while back about that matter...kind of would make sense.
