ABOUT CROSSOVER BATTLES

CB's are a series of weekly posts in which two different fictional characters from different universes are pitted against each other and YOU vote and discuss who would win in a fight in the comments section below. Whoever has the most supporters wins. The results are posted in the following CB.

CB 2014 first started in early 2014. After a two month mid-year break, CB 2014 is back. This marks the premier of Round 2. In the mid-year finale, Captain America was able to beat Batman (even though it was a somewhat close encounter). This edition of CB mirrors that.

THIS WEEK'S EVENT

Red Hood

Real Name: Jason Todd
First Appearance: Batman #357 (March 1983)
Universe: DC Comics
Arch-Nemesis: The Joker
Bio:

Jason Todd was originally the second Robin, fighting alongside the Dark Knight himself...until that one bad day where The Joker beat him to death with a crow bar. Resurrected years later after Superboy-Prime punched reality, Todd was devastated to find out that The Batman didn't murder Joker for what he did to him. With a new found hatred for both The Batman and Joker, Red Hood mockingly took on one of Joker's older identities and became the anti-hero RED HOOD. Red Hood believes that Batman's no killing policy is inefficient and that you can't stop all crime but you can control it. Red Hood then began taking over Gotham's criminal underworld as their new kingpin, rivaling Black Mask. The Hood also formed an alliance with other anti-heroes who call themselves The Outlaws.

Red Hood is a master fighter/martial artist (trained by The Batman, himself), is known to carry heavy lethal weapons, and is shown to be a master planner, schemer, and leader. Oh, and one other thing: he won't hesitate to kill you if he thinks you deserve it. Period.

VS

The Winter Soldier

Real Name: Bucky Barnes
First Appearance: Captain America Comics #1 (March 1941)
Universe: Marvel
Arch-Nemesis: N/A
Bio:

Bucky Barnes was Captain America's trusted side kick during the WWII era and his good friend. Cap and Bucky fought many threats including HYDRA, Nazi Germany, Red Skull, Arnim Zola, ETC. This was before he mysteriously vanished for decades. In present day, he returned and worked as a brain-washed super soldier called THE WINTER SOLDIER before battling Captain America and being brought back to his senses. He is now usually portrayed as a hero.

Winter Soldier is a skilled soldier, perfect assassin, master martial artist, and is known to carry deadly weapons such as knives and guns. He also has a metal arm which allows that particular arm super strength.

Welcome, I am Darkknight2149. I am primarily a fan of comic books and their various adaptations, as well as horror and other classic film franchises.

As far as the "DC vs. Marvel" rivalry goes, I'm really not biased when it comes to studios and publishers. Preferences are fine, but I've never understood the basing of opinions purely by the studio/publisher that makes it.
