I remember the Batmobile coming to our town on a promotion tour, along with Adam West and Burt Ward, when I was very little. It was a real treat. I had a photo with the dynamic duo but that has been lost/misplaced over the years. Wish I still had it!

whysoserious, good on ya.

The funny thing about Batman '66 is that, after decades of a Batman that has returned to his dark, gritty roots, it's kinda nice to go back to a silly, campy, upbeat Batman for a story or two-- just as a palette cleanser.

But mind you, I only think that's a good idea when the stories are out of continuity-- my biggest problem with Grant Morrison's run on Batman was that beneath all the dark, violent goings-on and the pretensions of intellectual substance, he'd basically just made Batman into an over-the-top campy joke again. If you're going to do a camp Batman, don't do it to the actual character.

That said, I've loved reading Batman '66 thus far, and I'm crazy excited for when the T.V. show finally hits DVD!

I have a signed photo of Batgirl from Yvonne Craig. She married an old girlfriend's uncle. I got to go to the reception.

ManofSteel22 - Give thanks to Adam West and his crew for making Batman so deep rooted in popular culture.

66 is still the best Batman! Bale and Affleck can suck it.
