John Wesley Shipp, who plays Barry's dad in The Flash, might have revealed the official title of the upcoming Arrow/Flash spinoff.

Speaking at the Cape Comic Con, Shipp talked about how the upcoming spinoffs will expand the DC/CW Universe during a Q&A. Although, the title of the new show was not asked of him directly, he did refer to it as 'Legends' when talking about it.

He also revealed that the show will be a miniseries consisting of thirteen episodes. It was previously rumoured that the show will premiere during midseason next year, much like Agent Carter was to Agents of SHIELD.

Check out the full video below, he talks about the spinoffs at the 7:10 mark.

The upcoming Arrow/Flash spinoff will star Brandon Routh, Victor Garber, Caity Lotz, Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell, Arthur Darvill and Ciara Renée. Another new DC hero, along with a "major DC villain" are also a part of the project. The show is rumoured for a mid 2016 premiere.

IF Superman ever appears on The Flash/Arrow universe for a cameo or something, I'd kinda want to see Tom Welling play him, sorta synonymous with being a TV Superman for this generation. But who knows, despite the growing universe, it may never want to go into Batman or Superman

I like the name Legends sounds cool I cant wait for this. I'm glad Sara is back as Canary. And it would be great to see Tom Welling be the Superman in the Arrow/Flash universe. And see him in the suit and team up with Flash and Atom and the others.

Not sure if it will end up as 'Legends' or not but I quite like the title. Very neutral and epic at the same time.

I think the producers/ showrunners should create these shows leaving open avenues for an possible cross overs with other studios in the future. Meaning for example, if Supergirl is gonna feature Superman, then Arrow, Flash and the spin-off should stay away from using him or any stories about him(if there is ever that possibility)... That way, If some time in the future it can be made possible fo cross-studio intergration... The same actor can be used

Seriously, people are deluding themselves into thinking these various DC properties, strewn about haphazardly between whatever network will pay for them, are somehow connected through the idea of a multiverse?

Okay. If that makes you feel better.

Legends is already the name of a Warner Bros tv show on TNT.

I'd be okay with that name. I just want to know if Sara comes back from the dead, can we expect Tommy to come back too?

Tom Welling sucks...

@DexterLives
If we judged every man and woman based on the actions of our ancestors, we'd ALL be in jail.
I bet one of my ancestors at one point raped a woman. Guess that makes me a rapist too.
Don't be stupid.

"...and his mother who marched for Civil Rights during the Freedom Summer of 1964."

hmm, I wonder which had a greater impact on Affleck? By your logic, all of your ancestors lived under bridges.

@DexterLives and for your information, your future Doctor Strange had ancestors who were sugar plantation owners, about the only people who treated slaves worse than American slave owners. Does that make him a racist? No.
