Hit the jump to check out all the details about the release of a new Black and White statue of Batgirl. This Statue takes the design after a very familiar version of Barabara Gordon, that I think comic fans may enjoy.

This new Batgirl Statue takes the look after Barabara Gordon from the Batgirl #35 comic that's written by Cameron Stewart and Brenden Fletcher and drawn by Babs Tarr. This statue was sculpted by Irene Zahar, and it is set to be released next fall. For more details you may want to know click and watch the video below!

I don't like the design at all.
'But it's forward-thinking! It's functional! It's hip!' blah. whatever.

I'm 50/50 on the costume. In one sense it's good to see some change and something that looks a bit more unique, yet at the same time it feels a bit forced (feels like a bit of a crowd pleaser). I think I like the new costume more than I dislike it though.
I think the statue looks great though.

That's disappointing. Instead of giving us statues or figures of actual cool things, we are getting this….

hate this new look for Batgirl
hate this new way to draw her, feels like I'm no longer the target audience, that I should be a fifteen year old schoolgirl to get it...

It's funny because the new Batgirl direction is amazing and already better than Gail Simone's run, which was passable at best. The problem is DC is making a book for non DC readers, it feels more like an independent product... which is a good thing
