"Peel The Power!" BANANAMAN Teaser Poster Skids Online

If you grew up in the UK or Ireland in the '80s chances are you either read about this strange fella in the Beano, or caught his animated series on the tele. We recently found out that he'll be getting the big screen treatment next year, and you can see the first teaser poster after the jump.

Bananaman centers around a young boy named Eric, who turns into an adult superhero when he eats a banana. Think Shazam but...with bananas. It was a very popular cartoon in Britain back in the '80s, and in 2015 we'll see him fly onto the big screen. Although there's already a poster, we know next to nothing about the movie. No director, writer/s, or cast -- only that rights holder DC Thomson is working in conjunction with Elstree Studio Productions on the project. Updates as we have 'em.
