Following the events of the crossover series “Flashpoint” DC Universe is set to reboot all 52 major titles, or in other words restarting the entire DC Universe!

Now I haven’t read Flashpoint yet so ( please don’t spoil it) I can’t really tell you why this is happening but I’ll be glad to share my opinion and tell you what’s happening.

Some things to keep in mind before the reboot becomes active
-----DC confirmed that stories like Blackest Night, Brightest Day, Identity Crisis, Death in the Family, and Killing Joke are still part of the DCU history. In fact, editors said, some events in those stories are specifically referenced in September.
------- DC has not confirmed that other storylines will or will not be part of the universe's new history. (For example, Geoff Johns' recent Superman: Secret Origin story.) We will have to wait and see.

OK so let’s get to what to expect:

Starting with the best hero of the DCU, Batman:

(Batman #1)

(Detective Comics #1)

Batman’s history will remain intact for the most part. Meaning Robin will be dead and there would be a replacement. Barbara will be the Oracle and come back as Batgirl. And there will be one and only one Batman; Bruce Wayne

And like always there are many titles surrounding Batman, because of how awesome he is of course.

Superman:
There will be two story arcs as always.

One being Action comics which will handle his origin story:

I like the jeans and t-shirt. More realistic for a “new” super hero.

(That’s the cover for action comics #2. Pretty Sweet!)

and the other will be Superman and it will pick up in present day. Superman is single and Pa and Ma Kent are long dead.

The suit is ceremonial battle armor that pays tribute to his Kryptonian past

Green Lantern:

Unlike the rest of the titles Green Lantern will be the only one not to undergo a reboot. Instead it will continue the story line of “War of the Green Lanterns.

Justice League:

In the sneak preview DC gave a peek about Justice League they showed Batman being hunted down by a dark force and being save by the Green Lantern.

Other titles to look forward to:

Teen Titans #1 (I’m blown away by how beast they all look)

Aquaman #1

Green Arrow #1

Nightwing #1

Superboy #1

first off the jeans and t-shirt look on superman looks stupid i hope thats a temporary costume, secondly i don't think any of the robins are dead anymore in fact they all have their own titles:
Dick Greyson- Nightwing
Jason Todd- Red hood & the Outlaws
Tim Drake- Teen Titans
Damian Wayne- Batman & Robin

If they're any other robins i don't know of let me know.
One question though...why is batman on two teams and has 4 solo titles?

@Superwolverine: You foregot about Stephanie Brown. She was the current Batgirl, but now Barbra Gordon has that role. It has been stated at comic-con that Stephanie brown hasn't been retconned out of continuity. Oh and, Batman is on two team books and 4 solo titles because he is DC's biggest seller. Besides it's not like his four solo titles are going to be the same or that he is going to have the same role in the two teams. Batman is just a basic Batman comic that can do whatever it wants, Detective focuses on the detective part of Batman and incorporates mystery into the stories, Batman & Robin shows the relationship between the Dynamic Duo and showcases the Batman Family, while Batman: The Dark Knight spotlights the more supernatural side of Gotham City and will be darker. Beleive it or not Batman has actually cut back in titles. He dropped Superman/Batman, Batman: Streets of Gotham, Batman Inc., and Batman Confidential (that was back in march, but it's recent enough).
