These are seven different ways that Hercules is better than Thor, many claim that Herc is simply a poor man's Thor, but nothing could be further from the truth. This article is intended to be light hearted so please don't take any of it personally. If you are a Thor fan, than I'm not trying to offend you. Parts of this are serious while others are just meant to poke a bit of fun...please don't get angry Thor fans.

#7 Immortality

As many would think, Hercules and Thor are considered "gods", however Thor is only half-god, Odin is an Asgardian and Marvel says that Asgardians aren't truly immortal they just have super longevity. Olympians on the other hand, Marvel says are truly 100% immortal. And also Hercules has ascended to full god hood and is completely immortal while Thor is superhuman, and can live for thousands of years but he isn't a full god, he's still mortal.

#6 Fighting Skill

Have you all read Blood Oath? If so, then you know this as a fact. While it's not like Hercules is vastly more skilled, but Thor himself stated that Hercules is a better hand to hand combatant than himself. Again, it's not to say Thor sucks at hand to hand combat, but he himself says that Hercules was better at it, after Hercules had him in a submission hold of course.

#5 Physical Strength

While it is a very slight advantage, it's still an advantage nonetheless. Once when Hercules and Thor fought, Thor claimed that Hercules had the edge in strength. Also, I think Hercules' feats are better, he once lifted the entire sky (I know, I know the sky isn't an actual object but hey, neither is a black hole and that's a Superman feat everyone talks about) while Thor's greatest feat was lifting the Midgard Serpent, which wasn't as heavy as the Earth. Again, this isn't a massive advantage...but it's an advantage nonetheless.

#4 Chicks

He gets more of e'm than Thor does.

#3 Personality

Hercules is much more down to Earth and less arrogant than Thor. He's much more fun to be around than Thor, Hercules is all around a really jolly guy. He's funny too, in contrast to Thor who's always so serious. Hercules is really a more enjoyable character if you look at it the right way.

#2 Drinking

Hercules is second to none in this department. In a drinking contest? He'd beat Thor and even Tony Stark himself miserably. Thor would pass out before Herc is even halfway finished drinking his share.

#1 The Beard

Yup, this is number one...the beard. While Thor did grow a beard later on, it's got NOTHING on Herc's beard. And Hercules has had an awesome full grown beard practically his entire career. While Thor was only able to grow on later on and it hasn't stuck...this proves that Hercules is much more manly than Thor.

Agree with my reasons? Disagree? Which do you like better? If you feel I've been bashing Thor, please understand that was not my intention. A lot of this article is intended to be humorous...so don't take it personally.
