BLACK PANTHER: Marvel Comics Reveals New Details And Artwork For January's Landmark Issue #200

Marvel Comics has announced that, this January, the third issue of Academy Award-winning writer John Ridley and Marvel’s Stormbreaker artist Juann Cabal's Black Panther run will mark the iconic character's milestone 200th issue. It's hard to believe T'Challa has had so few solo adventures on the page, but he's obviously also been a staple of The Avengers comics over the years.

Black Panther #3 will be an oversized issue with bonus stories celebrating the past and foreshadowing the future of the Black Panther and the world of Wakanda. Ridley will also introduce a new hero who rises up to protect the people of Wakanda while T’Challa finds his life and role as Black Panther thrown into turmoil. Apparently, this new hero is set to become a key player during Ridley's run.

In addition, the main story in the Black Panther #200 will see T’Challa face off against the X-Men, With assassins closing in and Wakanda’s faith in him shaken, T’Challa goes to visit Storm on the newly terraformed Mars. However, this won't be a happy reunion as T’Challa has ulterior motives for his visit.

Back home, Shuri discovers who is behind the attacks on Wakanda’s secret agents - a revelation that will change everything. For many fans, it's Storm's inclusion that will be most exciting, of course.

Check out some newly revealed cover art for Black Panther #3 ahead of its release on January 26:

That third cover is pretty great. Really like the art.

As for Storm, I really hope we get to see her first in Wakanda Forever and then have her be introduced to the X-Men in their second movie
