In AXIS: Carnage, writer Rick Spears and artist German Peralta take the symbiote serial killer to the streets New York City! With the members of the Avengers & the X-Men embroiled in their epic clash against the Red Skull and his S-Men, Carnage is poised to paint the town RED! But thanks to the events of Avengers & X-Men: AXIS, something unexpected has happened to Cletus Kassidy and his crimson alien costume, and NYC will never look at Carnage the same way again!

Then, the one true Hobgoblin returns for AXIS: Hobgoblin, from fan-favorite creators Kevin Shinick and Javier Rodriguez! Many have worn the mantle of the Hobgoblin, but there is only one Roderick Kingsley! As the Red Skull’s terrifying influence spreads, the merciless and cold-blooded Kingsley finds himself back in New York with a new mission. One that will bring out a side of the Hobgoblin you’ve never seen before!

“Two of the biggest Spidey villains get their own books? There must be something crazy going on!” says Senior Editor Nick Lowe. “AXIS is huge and Rick Remender and Adam Kubert have so much awesome going on, we in the Spidey office wanted to get involved.”

In the shadows of the Red Skull’s takeover, the villains will rise. Be there when two of the wallcrawler’s most sinister baddies barrel headlong into Avengers & X-Men: AXIS this October in AXIS: Hobgoblin and AXIS: Carnage. And the Marvel Universe won’t know what hit it.

Marvel HAS the rights to spiderman...

If they do not have them we would be reading some Dark Horse's Spiderman comics or some Image Spiderman comics or some Nu52 DC Spiderman comics...

Unless some assface at marvel sold the rights to another comic publisher and we have not heard yet...

Makiveli21- You goof. Did you even read the description or look at the cover art? " nyc will never look at carnage the same". Pic of carnage with American flag. You do know where maximum carnage happened right? Pretty sure NYC already looks at him as a murderous psychopath. Plus "bring out a side of hobgoblin you've never seen before". Its called speculating don't be a putts.

No doubt there is nice artwork here.
Too bad it's wasted on crappy characters.
Why the hell does anyone care for knock-off characters like these?

Venom is great..Carnage a lame rip on Venom.
Green Goblin is great..Hobgoblin is a lame rip on Gobby.
Won't agree that a writer can make garbage good because these turds shouldn't even exist.
I demand originality,not sloppy seconds.

@exodus your speculating on books and characters you havent read in 15 years. Axis isnt about carnage becoming a hero.

Nice to see Hobgoblin getting his own series! He's one of my favorite villains.

@sameoldthing

I have to disagree; Hobgoblin is far from a rip off of the Green Goblin. He's got different motives (money and power, where as the Green Goblin usually wants revenge and wishes to kill Spider-Man; Hobgoblin usually doesn't go looking for Spider-Man, Spidey finds him), he's not insane, he has his own villains inc. business going on these days, etc.

"Nobody on this site reads comics anyway"

Yeaaaaah. Sure. Marvel and DC make millions upon millions of dollars just on YOUR readership alone, right? Way to presume and STILL miss the mark so badly that, perhaps it would have been better for you to not even try. Jackass.

...meh...it seemes to me that people in DC & Marvel have gone crazy & just picking up any idea, no matter how bad it sounds, I mean, I dig Carnage & HobG, but, is this really necessary?, I guess that they deserve a chance...
