Can't say that I agree with that considering the fact Miles, Kaine and Spock are all infinitely more interesting than Peter has ever been in the past 15 years.

I find Miles a lot more interesting and compelling of a character than Peter who becomes completely irrelevant after leaving high school and hes stuck in the limbo known as 616 continuity.

When I was a young lass I would read Spider-Man comics that my dad would bring home and I liked it when heroes had structure. The chaos of 'villain' as a hero, or hero as a villain is bipolar. Where nothing has stability and the hero and villain lines are blurred. Do you really want Spider-man to be the Punisher and Wolverine? I like it when characters are diverse. Nerdy Parker over pompous windbag Octavius any day. I still want him and Black Cat or Marry Jane to be together. Make it be!

I think Black Cat is ruined because she was always walking the fence ( like a cat) and she wouldn't be quite evil she even wanted to be an avenger. Now she is just cut and dry Typhoid Mary crazy scorned girl with an axe to grind. Feels like a big step back. I understand that's the format with Spider-Man. He never can catch a break, he gets cloned and sells his marriage to the devil to bring back his loved ones and then gets his body snatched by the mad doctor etc. Like when the Lizard ate his own kid I was horrified. They made him eat homeless and now the character lacks anything that I can be connected to. Like when Mr.Freeze put Nora in the Lazarus pit too early and she became 'crazy town' girl, pumped up with magics and whatever. He lost all interest for me, his struggle as a character went from 'fixing her frozen body to fixing her crazed hatred for him'. These characters are imploding with bad direction.
