Spider-Man's rivalry with the Green Goblin is legendary and it appears as if "Go Down Swinging" will bring that war to an end along with Dan Slott's lengthy Amazing Spider-Man run. While that hasn't been confirmed, the solicitation for March's issue #797 reads, "Dan Slott has saved his most harrowing Spider-Man story for last." That definitely sounds like we're getting some sort of epic conclusion!
A teaser video has also been released which recaps the history between the two villains but also introduces a new foe in the form of the Red Goblin. Who or what is he? We'll have to wait and see!
"The last time we saw the Green Goblin was in ‘Goblin Nation’ at the culmination of Superior Spider-Man," Spider-Editor Nick Lowe says in a press release. "You’d almost think that was the biggest Green Goblin story Dan Slott had in him. You’d be wrong." It's going to be very interesting seeing how this plays out but seeing as Norman Osborn still doesn't know that Spider-Man is Peter Parker, you have to hope that will change as it's something which has always made their bitter rivalry even better.
