COMICS: 'Human Torch' Joins THE UNCANNY INHUMANS As Full Lineup Is Revealed
Earlier on Marvel unveiled the rest of their All-New, All-Different Avengers, and now we have the full roster of characters that'll be making up Charles Soule's new Inhumans series. It seems Fantastic Four's Johnny Storm/Human Torch has found a new family...
The Fantastic Four comic may be ending next month with issue #645, but it seems at least one member of Marvel's First Family will have a new place to call home. Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch, will join the ranks of Charles Soule's Uncanny Inhumans alongside Inferno (apparently they needed 2 fire-guys), Medusa, Naja, Triton, and Iso. Storm does actually have some history with the Inhumans, as Marvel senior editor Nick Lowe points out in an interview with Wired UK. "It's fitting that the first Marvel hero to encounter the Inhumans is joining up with them. Johnny Storm is one of the best characters in the Marvel U and he's shaking up the Inhumans side of the Marvel U in a big way. Just wait until you see the last page!" You might be thinking this is another case of Marvel retconning a character's origins, but the site makes it clear that although he'll be a part of the team, Torch is NOT an Inhuman.
Along with The first issue of All-New, All-Different Avengers, Uncanny Inhumans debuts as part of Marvel's Free Comic Book Day offering on 2 May.
