The Silver Surfer hands down is my favorite cosmic hero of all time. Yet I find this new art is a bit of a downer to me. I definitely want to read his new adventures... but I really feel bad cause I don't like Allred's art. So I may have to pass

Is it just me or is anyone else getting a Doctor who vibe from this new silver surfer series?

@Superspecialawesomeguy - The whole companion thing screams it. I will probably read this point one thing, but I don't think I can do the series.

I'm in. I thought the first Marvel Now.1 was going to be meaningess fodder and it turned out it was setting up years worth of stories. The art in the Surfer segment is on point. Allred is a good fit.

I like the look and tone of the Loki book

Very fresh artwork, a nice mixture of classic American style and European, and one that actually works (as opposed to the inappropriate straightforward Ligne Claire stuff in the recent She-Hulk article).

Oh look, a Dan Slott joke about him nearly killing off the character he's working on to only have said characters mind swapped with one of his greatest villains! Because that totally isn't old already!

Allred brings a very Kirby-esque element to Silver Surfer. It works really well.

I love allred's art
it has a very classic-y type feel
fits silver surfer well

It's weird seeing Silver Surfer not...silver

I like the art. But Surfer's dialogue isn't right. He's a man of elegance and well-thinking. He should speak like one.

I had no idea the surfer could "Silver Down" I thought he was permanently bling'd out. You live and you learn. Guess that means he can get busy after all. Look out companion!

@fangz I will have to check it out. Is he shifting more as a anit hero now rather then a villain based off movie popularity?

Totally forgot about those! I'm trying to think of the other ones I have seen.

Also dig the Kirby, old school kind of art, especially for cosmic marvel characters.
Jefferys
Jefferys - 1/4/2014, 6:53 PM
So after questioning this whole "Silver Surfer and human form" thing myself, I do what most people with half a brain can do, Wikipedia it. And so…

After an encounter with the High Evolutionary,[59] the Silver Surfer and Galactus battled Thor and the Asgardians. The battle ended when the Silver Surfer chose to leave his post as herald and guard an Asgardian artifact. Galactus "tethers" him to Asgard's location in Oklahoma, resulting in his powers waning the further he travels from Asgard, and grants him the ability to return to human form.[60]

[59] ^ Silver Surfer vol 6 #1-5 (Feb-June 2011)
[60] Jump up ^ The Mighty Thor #1-6 (May - Sept 2011)

Therefore this whole idea about Norrin returning to human form is actually an old idea coming from 2011 and so if the "last time that you read Surfer he was always Silver" then it appears you don't actually read recent comics. So I politely tell you check your facts before complaining.

Jefferys ftw. Also, he has the power cosmic.

Anyway, excited for this! Slott + Allred + Norrin Radd = yes!

Man, Silver Surfer has some terrible art... I HATE Allred, I still don't understand how he gets to work with the big companies. Also, "Silver down"?

World War Hulk would stomp Silver Surfer and Loki. Hell, throw a full-powered Galactus in there for a little mid-battle snack. WWH > Everything in the Marvel Universe and anyone who thinks otherwise is a troll.
