Inhumans: Attilan Rising is another Battleworld themed tie-in for Marvel's Secret Wars. The tie-in will be written by current Inhumans series writer Charles Soule and illustrated by John Timms. Soule says that the series will take a look at the Inhumans life during war time.

“My initial concept was ‘life during wartime,’ looking at the Inhumans from almost a World War 2 French Resistance type of angle. The relationships we’re used to seeing will be different in this story. Huge drama, spies, glamour, action, betrayal, sabotage; my hope is that it won’t feel like anything else out there."

He also says that we should expect to see Black Bolt and Medusa at the center of the story.

"Medusa and Black Bolt are the core of the story, I’ve been having a great time developing their relationship in 'Inhuman,' but it’s been fun to shake things up and think about them in a different way for 'Attilan Rising."

Sorry Marvel, but the Inhumans will never be as cool as the X-Men. Try as you might to make it so, it ain't happening.

The Inhumans actually have a much richer backstory than the X-Men and have so much potential to outshine them if they're written right. I haven't found the X-Men interesting since the mid-late 90s. It's about time the Inhumans were brought forth to the limelight.

I hope we see the return of the Ultimate Inhuman in Secret Wars. I really liked that interpretation when it first appeared in an annual of Ultimate Fantastic Four but they haven't appeared since.
