Since releasing the "4" teaser yesterday on the 50th anniversary of Fantastic Four #1, speculation has run rampant that the title (currently known as "FF", aka "Future Foundation") will return to its original numbering with #600 and also see the return of Johnny Storm, the Human Torch. The question is in this latest teaser image released by Marvel via Newsarama, who are the current FF facing off against?! You can see the first one HERE and read my take on the team's anniversary HERE.

So, does Spiderman just wear that suit when he's with the FF??

Spiderman was actually a natural choice given his history with the four. It wasn't just about bring in a big player, it was bring in someone who was like family.

Also as to the suit. Spiderman wears the suit all the time. It has the ability to switch between

Black FF suit
White FF suit
Normal Spiderman suit
and an all black jump suit that he can wear under his clothes.
Basically he got a tech version of the symbiote suit.

@ SamHell - Spidey has worn the outfit while with the new Avengers also...think he is flicking between different costumes in different titles...

I bet the FF (future foundation) are fighting a brainwashed Jonny Storm...

they might be battling a super pissed more powerful human torch.

Does Spider-man or Wolverine hold a non-superhero job? I can't imagine their lives have any relation to that of real people any longer.

they could be battling the annihilation wave what actually sort of killed the human torch.

I like the white Spidey suit, but they should put him in the old Fantastic Four outfit with the Paperbag on his head...

whats the point? its not like we will ever get to see a movie with spidey as one of the FF. Just a waste of creative thought.

@GUNSMITH

Hey, don't joke about Pee Wee Herman being the villain the FF will fight . . . Pee Wee once nearly destroy the entire universe when he manage to grab hold of the Infinity Gauntly and made everything to be an unstable version of his show.

it would be cool if the human torch(not necessarily Johnny) were fighting the Fantastic Four, like a possessed ghost or something

The original Human Torch (android) should take Spidey's place on the FF...that'd be an interesting turn of events

I really wish comments were shared on both the main and resulst page. Here's my idea from "The Other Side."

I think it would be great to see Reed build his own Synthetic Human and revive a more original version of Human Torch only to find out that the Johnny is still alive, lost in another dimension and finally Johnny comes home and the Synthetic Human Torch turns villanous by Ultron.

The only thing that I would add is that Reed does not share who his creation is with the rest of the team until the real Johnny shows up.

It would be fantastic if the human torch NEVER return, that would be a great WTF moment, and would make his departure even more dramatic.

BTW, it´s the She-Hulk who should be there.

WOW! I knew they would bring back Johnny! FF can't survive without him, meaning in the comic and in RL sales! But I never expected that they would bring him back so soon! LOL!

How is this promo (and that's all it is folks) any different to any of the covers Marvel have released in the past decade?
Have the FF using their powers against an unseen enemy off-panel. How boring.
No wonder I stopped reading after 17 years.

Hannibal King, i doubt you read comics for 17 years, I even doubt youve read a Fantastic Four comic ever. I do however love that you are suggesting that you quit comics because of cover art, which i gotta say is funny as hell.

@Marvel72- The Fumin' Torch!

@ThomasRochester- A posessed ghost? That's new.

It's pretty weak to make a big deal out a character death and then bring him back in less than a year.

Oh wait, they always do that.

Remember when Luke Cage was hired to replace Ben Grimm? Only for a couple of issues though.

It's almost as if the FF have some sort of secret contract with The Avengers that allows them to hire them out to be temp members. Haha. Avengers doubles as a superhero Temp Agency.
