Brian K. Vaughan's Eisner Award winning Saga is beautifully illustrated by Fiona Staples, and the artist has now returned to Marvel (after a Spider-Woman short and Wolverine variant a few years ago) for a stunning Miles Morales: The Ultimate Spider-Man #1 cover.

Im usually a "NOT MUH RACE" when it comes to changing races etc. but the Ultimate Spiderman comics with Miles have all been pretty damn good so far.

I love Ultimate Spider-Man so am definitely down for this. As for who the threat from the past is, well, with The Amazing Spider-Man 2 due out this year I think it'll be Norman Osborn- can't remember if he 'died' in his final fight with Peter in the Ultimate universe but, if not it'd make sense for him to go bat-shit over Miles too.

If you're not a fan of the Ultimates universe, that's understandable, but everything Ultimate Spider-Man related is gold- defo worth a read.

I'm probably going to pick this up..... But marvel should have had galactus destroy the ultimate universe and start a brand new universe from scratch could have been something great

Miles was the only thing I liked about the Ultimate U in the end. Ultimate X Men and the Ultimates were the ones going stagnant and they [essentially] got rid of those characters with Galactus.

@ P90

The thing is that Miles isn't really a Peter Parker race swap. He's just a separate character that picks up the Spider-man Moniker when Ultimate Peter Died. It's no different than Bucky replacing Steve as Cap after Steve fake died only the character just happened to be Afro-Latino.

I'm ready for a "Clone Saga" to happen to Morales. Not because I like the story or the concept but, because, I think that it would force the Proclaimers to reunite.

"Craaaaaaaap. Quit calling him Spider-man and give him his own superhero name. Quit riding the coattails."

What the hell? Why? He's Spider-Man. Just the same as Wally West was The Flash, and Guy Gardner, John Stewart and Kyle Rayner have been The Green Lantern.
