they'll do this in the movie. no way will they make mandarin mystical, they even made thor semi science based.

I thought that the Mandarin was Tony Stark until I saw his rings. He could just as easily be Doctor Strange. Marvel's artwork has been crap for years. All of the characters look alike, very few look like their "classic" versions and it's all bland. The only thing worse than the artwork is the writing. I used to be a major Marvel fan but now I can't even read the garbage they publish.

Well, everybody who wanted 'Mandarin' in IM3 just got their wish.
This is classic MARVEL maneuvers.
Pepper the public with exposure of a character they intent to feature in a film a year or two before to familiarize them with him/her.

Well I can't say much on this yet as I rarely follow the Iron Man title, but Salvador Larroca is officially one of my favorite artists by now. Look at that art!
